Software Acquisitions in New Hampshire

TeamDynamix, a provider of IT service management and automation solutions, has acquired Sassafras, a software asset management (SAM) and IT asset inventory company. The acquisition expands TeamDynamix's ITAM and SAM capabilities to provide unified asset intelligence, improved license compliance, and better cost control for enterprise, education, and government customers.

Valsoft Corporation has acquired Pinpoint Global Communications, a Nashua-based provider of learning management, compliance, and Medicare solutions for wealth management and health insurance organizations. The acquisition gives Valsoft its first training and compliance software offering and is intended to strengthen Pinpoint’s U.S. presence while enabling global expansion through Valsoft’s platform.

Hale Capital Partners, a New York-based growth private equity firm, led a cooperative recapitalization to acquire a majority stake in Athenium, a Dover, New Hampshire provider of risk and quality management software. The investment brings in Jim Greenwell as CEO and will support product development, AI/analytics capabilities and expansion into new verticals including insurance, financial services and government.

Avionté, a Bloomington, Minnesota-based provider of enterprise staffing software, has acquired AkkenCloud, a Nashua, New Hampshire staffing software company. The deal expands Avionté’s end-to-end staffing platform capabilities and brings AkkenCloud customers and employees into Avionté’s ecosystem; terms were not disclosed.

ECI Software Solutions has acquired ProfitKey International LLC, a provider of ERP software for discrete manufacturers, to expand its manufacturing software portfolio. ProfitKey's team and ERP platform will join ECI’s Manufacturing division; financial terms were not disclosed.

Eagle Point Software acquired CADLearning (including its intellectual property and digital assets) from 4D Technologies, assuming responsibility for supporting CADLearning clients. The deal expands Eagle Point’s Pinnacle Series learning platform and content library for AEC and manufacturing professionals, allowing CADLearning users access to additional resources and Pinnacle Series functionality.

gWorks, a GovTech provider backed by BV Investment Partners, acquired BMSI in June 2023. The deal brings BMSI’s fixed asset management, tax & utility billing, work management, HR and payroll software into the gWorks product suite to better serve small cities, public utilities and rural counties across the United States.

Trimble has acquired B2W Software, a Portsmouth, New Hampshire–based provider of estimating and operations solutions for the heavy civil construction industry. The acquisition expands Trimble’s civil infrastructure portfolio and integrates B2W’s estimating, scheduling, field tracking and equipment maintenance capabilities into Trimble Construction One to deliver more connected end-to-end workflows for contractors.

Tyler Technologies has acquired Quatred, a New Hampshire-based systems integrator that provides barcoding and mobile inventory solutions. The acquisition will integrate Quatred's barcoding technology (QUICK) across Tyler's ERP and asset management platforms to deliver a single barcoding solution for Tyler's public-sector customers and bolster its ERP and asset maintenance capabilities.

DocuPhase LLC, a Clearwater, Florida-based low-code/no-code AP automation and business process automation vendor, has acquired Treeno Software, a Portsmouth, New Hampshire-based document management and workflow automation provider. The acquisition expands DocuPhase's document management and workflow capabilities and enables the combined company to serve a broader range of customers across financial services, government, and K–12 education.

TimeTrade Systems, a Clearhaven Partners portfolio company, has acquired SilverCloud LLC to combine enterprise scheduling with customer and knowledge management capabilities. The deal creates TimeTrade SilverCloud, a scaled SaaS customer experience provider serving financial services, healthcare, retail and other end markets; financial terms were not disclosed.

Seaport Capital has made a significant investment to recapitalize Exacom, a developer of multimedia recording and logging solutions for public safety, government, utilities, healthcare and other mission-critical markets. The transaction converts Exacom’s ESOP ownership structure and provides capital to accelerate growth while keeping the existing management team, led by President and CEO Al Brisard, in place.

The Firmament Group completed an investment in Profit Tools, LLC and concurrently launched Envase Technologies, a cloud-based intermodal TMS platform led by Larry Cuddy. Compcare Services, an existing Firmament portfolio company, participated alongside Firmament; financial terms were not disclosed. The move consolidates transportation-focused software capabilities to accelerate technology adoption across the intermodal drayage market.

Dude Solutions has acquired Bigfoot, a provider of cloud-based EAM/CMMS software (Bigfoot CMMS), expanding its portfolio of operations and asset management solutions. Dude Solutions — backed by Warburg Pincus — completed the transaction with Software Equity Group serving as exclusive advisor to Bigfoot.

symplr, a Clearlake- and SkyKnight-backed healthcare governance, risk & compliance (GRC) SaaS platform, has acquired IntelliSoft Group. The deal adds IntelliSoft's provider credentialing software and NCQA-certified Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) services to symplr's platform as an add-on to expand capabilities for healthcare providers and payers.

Nuance Communications acquired eCopy to combine Nuance's MFP desktop solutions with eCopy's server-based network scanning products, expanding Nuance's reach into network scanning and MFP-integrated enterprise workflows. The deal was paid approximately $54 million in Nuance common stock and was expected to be accretive to Nuance's fiscal 2010 results.
