SUSE, the enterprise open source software company, has acquired Losant, an Industrial IoT application enablement platform, to extend SUSE’s Edge strategy and deliver a full-stack industrial IoT solution. The acquisition integrates Losant’s low-code IIoT and Tiny Edge capabilities into SUSE Edge to enable unified device orchestration, data management, and application enablement across industrial end markets.

QGenda, a Hearst company and provider of healthcare workforce management software, has completed the acquisition of New Innovations, the largest provider of residency management software (RMS). The deal integrates New Innovations' resident and fellow training lifecycle capabilities into QGenda's ProviderCloud platform to streamline accreditation, onboarding, scheduling, evaluations and reimbursement management for hospitals and health systems.

Euna Solutions, a provider of purpose-built SaaS for the public sector, has acquired AmpliFund, a grant management platform provider. The acquisition adds AmpliFund's grant management expertise and more than 100 GovTech professionals to Euna's product suite and customer base, expanding Euna's grant management capabilities for government agencies, nonprofits, and other public-sector organizations.

Sandvik AB, through its Mastercam business unit, has acquired the assets/business of FASTech, a Mastercam channel reseller headquartered in Findlay, Ohio. FASTech will be integrated into Mastercam and reported within Sandvik Manufacturing and Machining Solutions; the parties did not disclose the purchase price. The acquisition strengthens Sandvik/Mastercam's CAM capabilities and regional presence serving manufacturing customers in the US Midwest.

Verisma, a provider of health data management solutions, has acquired Olah Healthcare Technology to integrate Olah’s Enterprise Archiving Solution (EAS) into Verisma’s platform. The acquisition is intended to enhance Verisma’s archiving and interoperability capabilities, improving regulatory compliance and data accessibility for hospitals and health systems.

Cantata Health Solutions has acquired Geisler IT Services and its GOSH System, integrating the solution into Cantata’s Arize EHR platform to improve workflows between MCOs and provider networks. The Geisler team will join Cantata to support ongoing product enhancement and expand support for ADAMH Boards in Ohio while leveraging Cantata's sales and marketing resources to grow nationwide.

Kinective, a Phoenix-based provider of connectivity, document workflow, and branch automation software for banks, has acquired Ohio-based Nexus Software, a market leader in branch device management for financial institutions. The deal expands Kinective's branch automation capabilities, adds access to Nexus's international footprint (implementations in 100+ countries and 400,000+ workstations), and opens new channels for global growth.

PartnerOne has acquired Cincom Systems, bringing the 56-year-old enterprise software provider into PartnerOne's portfolio. Cincom — a provider of CPQ, customer communications management (CCM), business application and development software and services for Global 1000 and mid-market customers — will be led by Brian Bish as CEO and will operate within the PartnerOne enterprise software group.

GE HealthCare Technologies Inc. has completed the acquisition of Cleveland-based MIM Software Inc., adding AI-enabled medical imaging analytics and digital workflow solutions to its precision care portfolio. Financial terms were not disclosed; GE HealthCare funded the deal with cash on hand and expects the transaction to be neutral to Adjusted EBIT in year one and accretive thereafter.

KPA, a PE-backed provider of EHS and Sales F&I compliance solutions, has acquired ComplyNet, a dealer compliance software company based in Columbus, Ohio. The acquisition brings ComplyNet’s ABLE compliance suite and Guided Compliance Assistance process into KPA’s platform to broaden capabilities for automotive, RV, powersports and marine dealers; TD Cowen advised KPA and Presidio Technology Partners advised ComplyNet.

Volaris Group has acquired Squirrels LLC, a North Canton, Ohio-based developer of wireless audio and video transmission software (products include Ditto, AirParrot and Reflector). Squirrels will join Volaris' education vertical, with co-founder and CEO Andrew Gould remaining as Volaris Business Unit Manager to help grow the business within the K-12 and higher education market.

Spark Hire, a portfolio company of Boathouse Capital, has acquired Chally, a long-established provider of predictive talent assessments. The deal combines Spark Hire's video interviewing and ATS capabilities with Chally's assessment science to create an end-to-end talent assessment and hiring suite.

Avionté, a Bloomington, Minnesota-based provider of enterprise staffing and recruiting software, has acquired SimpleVMS, a Cincinnati-based vendor management system (VMS) for mid-to-large employers. The acquisition integrates SimpleVMS's VMS capabilities into Avionté's staffing platform to create an end-to-end solution for employers, staffing agencies, and talent, improving data flow, requisition fulfillment, and contingent workforce management.

Valstone Corp. has acquired Henning Industrial Software, the maker of Visual EstiTrack and Visual Books ERP/shop-management software for small- and medium-sized manufacturers. Valstone plans to integrate Henning into its industrial ERP vertical and invest in product development and growth while preserving the company's products and team.

HireVue, a leader in video interviewing and assessment technology, has acquired Modern Hire, the intelligent hiring platform, from private investor The Riverside Company. The deal brings Modern Hire's science-backed assessment and interviewing capabilities into HireVue's product family, expanding HireVue's global customer base and accelerating development of end-to-end hiring automation powered by ethical AI.

Cora Group, an operating group within Jonas Software (part of Constellation Software, Inc.), has acquired Data-Basics, a Bedford, Ohio–based provider of field service and construction management ERP software. The private transaction was announced May 8, 2023; terms were not disclosed and Corporate Finance Associates Worldwide advised Data-Basics.

JDM Technology Group has acquired Kenton, Ohio–based AllMax Software, a provider of wastewater, water, CMMS and pre-treatment operations & maintenance software. The transaction closed January 31, 2023 after approval from AllMax owners Russell and Patricia Maxwell; AllMax will join JDM's facility management software group and be led day-to-day by Randall Brous.

Agile Zone, a Ypsilanti-based digital marketing and software services firm, acquired Cleveland-based custom software developer M Genio, Inc.; the transaction closed on August 19, 2022. The deal expands Agile Zone's capabilities in mobile solutions, cloud automation and IoT development. Generational Equity acted as the M&A advisor for the seller.

Propio Language Services, an Overland Park, Kansas-based language services provider, has acquired Ohio-based LSP Ware, a developer of the Atrium workforce management SaaS for language service providers and healthcare customers. The acquisition adds scheduling, interpreter management, bookkeeping and other software capabilities to Propio’s interpreting and translation platform to create an end-to-end communications and interpreting management solution.

Zywave, a PE-backed insurtech platform, has acquired Columbus-based Strategic Insurance Software (SIS), provider of the Partner Platform agency management system for P&C and commercial-lines agencies. The add-on expands Zywave's portfolio of AMS/CRM solutions to cover commercial lines and broadens its end-to-end platform for independent insurance agencies; terms were not disclosed.

Grover Gaming has agreed to acquire the assets of NexLevel Gaming, a distributor of Electronic Instant Bingo in Ohio. The acquisition brings NexLevel's sales, marketing, and customer service team into Grover as the company expands its charitable gaming distribution and operations in Ohio.

Clovis Point Capital has made a majority growth investment in Map Your Show, a Cincinnati-based event management software provider, with Gardner Business Media and Map Your Show's management retaining significant stakes. The capital will be used to accelerate product innovation and growth across the company's event, exhibitor and attendee-facing SaaS platform.

Quickbase has acquired MCF Technology Solutions to expand its service offerings and vertical-specific application templates built on the Quickbase platform. The acquisition brings MCF's technical expertise and industry experience (retail, construction, real estate, energy, manufacturing and utilities) to better serve shared customers, including several Fortune 100 companies.

QGenda, a healthcare workforce management software provider headquartered in Atlanta, acquired Schedule360, a Best in KLAS nurse and staff scheduling software vendor. The acquisition adds nurse and staff scheduling capabilities to QGenda’s platform, enabling customers to schedule all clinical team members and staff across departments and improving workforce visibility and capacity optimization.

ClickFunnels acquired select software products (Doodly, Toonly, Voomly, Talkia, and Automatic Script) from Bryxen, Inc. ClickFunnels formed a new entity, Voomly LLC, to manage the acquired products; the deal is an asset sale of Bryxen's product lines intended to expand ClickFunnels' marketing and video-creation capabilities for its entrepreneur-focused user base.

Datacor, Inc., a provider of process manufacturing and chemical distribution software, has acquired INFONETICS, a long‑standing provider of ERP and asset-management software for the welding supply and industrial gas industry. The deal expands Datacor’s industry-specific product suite (including SaaS, container tracking and e‑commerce capabilities) while INFONETICS’ president David J. Frea and his management team will continue to run the business.

Togetherwork has acquired Acceptd, a leading application and audition management platform for the performing arts. The acquisition will keep Acceptd operating under its brand while enabling it to leverage Togetherwork's payments and product capabilities to broaden Togetherwork's higher education and arts-focused offerings.

Bentley Systems has acquired SPIDA Software, a Columbus, Ohio-based developer of specialized utility pole design, analysis, and asset management software. The acquisition (advised by 7 Mile Advisors to SPIDA) adds approximately 26 colleagues to Bentley and will integrate SPIDA's structural analysis and pole-management capabilities into Bentley's OpenUtilities grid digital twin and cloud services to support grid modernization and 5G/EV infrastructure demands.

Vista Equity Partners has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ARCOS, a market leader in resource management SaaS used by utilities, airlines and other critical infrastructure operators, from The Riverside Company. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter, after which Vista will take ownership of the Columbus, Ohio–based software platform that Riverside had expanded through add-ons such as SAMsix and RosterApps.

Idera, Inc. acquired PreEmptive Solutions, a leader in application protection and security, and will integrate the business into Idera's DevOps unit to broaden its developer and DevOps tool portfolio. PreEmptive's tools protect desktop, mobile, cloud and IoT applications and are used by thousands of corporate clients, including Fortune 500 companies.

The ODP Corporation (Office Depot) acquired BuyerQuest Holdings, Inc., a cloud-based procure-to-pay (P2P) software provider, to accelerate ODP's digital transformation and expand its B2B platform capabilities. The acquisition integrates BuyerQuest's P2P and eCommerce capabilities into ODP's supply chain and digital commerce offerings to improve procurement experience and drive greater adoption among enterprise and public-sector customers.

Dura Software, a San Antonio-based acquirer of hyper-niche software businesses, has acquired Vertex Systems, a Columbus, Ohio company that provides software for organizations serving adults with disabilities. The purchase expands Dura's footprint into the human-services/healthcare software market; Vertex will move its corporate headquarters to San Antonio while retaining its Columbus workforce.

Thoma Bravo has completed a strategic growth investment to acquire Foundation Software, a provider of construction accounting software and payroll services for small- to mid-sized specialty contractors. Founder & CEO Fred Ode will retain a minority ownership stake, and the transaction was financed by funds managed by affiliates of The Private Credit Group of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, BlackRock US Private Credit and Interbank.

Mitratech acquired CMPG, LLC (CMPG Risk Solutions) to add CMPG's VendorInsight (vendor risk management) and Procipient (enterprise risk management) products into its Enterprise Compliance Suite, strengthening its vendor and enterprise risk capabilities. The acquisition expands Mitratech’s compliance and GRC offering for clients in financial services, healthcare, and insurance.

Assurance Software, a Resurgens Technology Partners-backed provider of business continuity management software and services, has acquired Avalution Consulting, a Cleveland-based business continuity consulting firm and software creator. The deal combines Assurance's software and services with Avalution's advisory capabilities (including the BCOS methodology and Catalyst software) to expand the combined organization's BCM offerings for enterprise and public-sector clients.

OnShift, a Cleveland-based provider of human capital management software for healthcare, acquired Avesta Systems, a talent acquisition software provider that serves healthcare and EMS organizations. The purchase integrates Avesta's recruiting-to-onboarding solution (now OnShift Employ) into OnShift's platform to expand recruiting capabilities, accelerate time-to-hire, and deepen OnShift's footprint in the EMS market.

Funds managed by Harvest Partners completed a strategic growth investment in MRI Software alongside existing investors TA Associates, GI Partners and the company’s management team. The capital will be used to accelerate product innovation, expand MRI’s global footprint and enable strategic add-on acquisitions; management will remain significant owners and Harvest partners will join the board.

Volaris Group, an operating group of Constellation Software, has acquired Tribute Inc., an ERP software provider for mid-sized industrial distributors based in Hudson, Ohio. Tribute will maintain its brand and leadership under CEO Tim Reynolds and join Volaris' Asset Management vertical alongside AssetWorks and Smartrak to expand Volaris' capabilities in distribution-focused ERP solutions.

Epicor Software Corporation acquired 1 EDI Source, a provider of electronic data interchange (EDI) and B2B integration solutions, in a transaction that closed on October 1, 2019. The acquisition expands Epicor’s business services and supply-chain connectivity capabilities by adding 1 EDI Source’s cloud and on‑premise EDI and managed-service offerings; financial terms were not disclosed.

Deltek has completed its acquisition of ComputerEase, a provider of construction accounting, project management, and field management software. The deal expands Deltek’s portfolio of solutions for construction contractors and strengthens its offerings for A&E and construction-focused customers.

Genstar Capital has agreed to acquire a majority stake in OEConnection LLC (OEC) from funds advised by Providence Equity Partners, with Ford Motor Company and General Motors retaining minority stakes. Financial terms were not disclosed; the deal is expected to close in Q3 2019 and aims to support OEC's expansion of product offerings, geographic footprint and M&A activity.

Cleveland-based Hickok Incorporated announced on April 22, 2019 that it acquired certain assets from Data Genomix Inc., effective April 19, 2019. The acquired business will operate as Data Genomix LLC and is a software company focused on social media marketing applications for political, legal, and recruiting campaigns, expected to add under $1 million in revenue in 2019.

Sumeru Equity Partners (SEP), a technology-focused private equity firm, made a majority strategic investment in 3Gtms to accelerate growth and product innovation; terms were not disclosed. SEP will add principals Paul Mercadante, Sanjeet Mitra and Mark Haller to 3Gtms' board as part of the transaction, which closed in April 2019.

Stretto, a bankruptcy-administration and technology firm, has acquired CINgroup — the provider of BestCase Bankruptcy, CINcompass and CIN Legal Data Services — expanding Stretto's bankruptcy software and data capabilities. Equity financing for the transaction was provided by Stretto management (including co-CEOs Jonathan Carson and Eric Kurtzman) and investment funds managed by Stone Point Capital; the seller was Sentinel Capital Partners.

A joint venture called TH2 formed by Thor Industries and Tourism Holdings is acquiring Cincinnati-based Roadtrippers alongside Roadtrippers Australasia, Cosmos (an RV fleet/CRM platform), New Zealand peer-to-peer rental firm Mighway, and CamperMate. Thor is making an initial investment of about $50 million in TH2, which will be headquartered in Cincinnati and led by Airstream’s top executive; financial terms for the acquisitions were not disclosed.
