Staffing & HR Acquisitions in North Carolina

Chad and Allison Austin, owners of PrideStaff Asheville, have acquired the PrideStaff Charlotte (North) office effective February 9, 2026. The acquisition expands the Austins' regional footprint in North Carolina and ensures continuity of local staffing services for Charlotte-area employers and job seekers.

DISA Global Solutions has acquired the background screening and compliance services business of CastleBranch Inc., effective March 1, 2024. The transaction transfers CastleBranch’s screening and compliance operations to DISA while CastleBranch retains its clinical experience platform (CB Bridges), which will operate separately as Bridges EXP.

WilsonHCG, a global talent solutions firm, has acquired Personify, a Raleigh-based recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) provider focused on healthcare, life sciences, biotech and pharmaceuticals. The deal expands WilsonHCG’s healthcare and life sciences talent capabilities and accelerates Personify’s access to new markets under WilsonHCG’s global platform.

PeopleShare, a Collegeville, Pennsylvania-based staffing firm, has acquired DecisionPathHR, a temporary staffing company with four locations in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. The acquisition expands PeopleShare’s branch footprint to 40 offices across eight states and strengthens its presence in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Staffing 360 Solutions, Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire Headway Workforce Solutions for up to approximately $14 million in a combination of preferred stock and earn-out cash. The acquisition adds Headway’s national staffing operations, proprietary recruiting technologies and a 3-million candidate database to Staffing 360’s buy-and-build consolidation strategy.

HireQuest, Inc. (Nasdaq: HQI) has completed the acquisition of the Dental Power Staffing (DPS) division of Dental Power, a Carrboro, North Carolina–headquartered dental staffing firm. DPS will operate as a corporate-owned subsidiary of HireQuest and will serve as the platform to launch a HireQuest franchise offering tailored to the dental market.

ManpowerGroup agreed to acquire ettain group for $925 million in cash, integrating the company into its Experis IT resourcing and services business to strengthen ManpowerGroup's IT capabilities. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to 2021 and 2022 EPS (excluding one-time costs) and will expand Experis' scale and presence across financial services, healthcare IT and government clients.

PrestigePEO has acquired PathGoal Employer Services from Headway Workforce Solutions, making PathGoal a wholly owned subsidiary effective August 16, 2021. The deal — supported by PrestigePEO's investor TriSpan — expands PrestigePEO's geographic footprint and PEO service offering into the Raleigh/Durham and broader North Carolina market for SMB clients.

RFE Investment Partners, with value-add co-investor Weave Growth Partners, completed a recapitalization investment in Congruity HR, a North Carolina-based professional employer organization (PEO). Founder Darrin Hunter and the existing management team remain significant owners, and industry veteran Mike Maseda has joined as Executive Chairman as the business prepares to scale and pursue additional regional PEO brands using a tech-enabled playbook.

Alvarez & Marsal Capital (A&M Capital) has acquired ettain group from NMS Capital as part of a transaction that included ettain receiving a majority investment and pursuing immediate M&A. Concurrently, ettain group acquired Global Employment Solutions (GES) and Leidos Inc.'s commercial EHR consulting business (Leidos Health, LLC) to expand its Healthcare IT capabilities and broaden its IT staffing footprint across key U.S. markets.

Staffing 360 Solutions (Nasdaq: STAF) acquired Key Resources, Inc., a Greensboro, North Carolina-based staffing firm specializing in distribution and supply chain personnel. The acquisition expands Staffing 360's commercial staffing presence in the Carolinas and is expected to add approximately $35 million of annual revenue to the company.
