Acquisitions in West Virginia in 2026

MAI Capital Management acquired LOC Investment Advisers, a fee-only RIA with offices in Hurricane, West Virginia and Jupiter, Florida, adding approximately $759 million in AUM and more than 800 client households. The deal closed effective February 13, 2026; LOC founders Robert O'Dell and David Lanham will remain involved to support continuity and succession, and LOC Managing Director Sean Mayberry will become Senior Wealth Advisor & Team Leader.

Guild Garage Group has completed a partnership (add-on acquisition) with Varney Door Company, a family-owned residential garage door service provider headquartered in Barboursville, West Virginia. The deal is Guild's 25th acquisition since launching in 2024 and will allow Varney Door to retain management while accessing Guild's operational resources and partial liquidity options for the owners.

Guardian Alarm, a Southfield, Michigan–based full-service security company, has acquired National Central Alarm Systems, a Huntington, West Virginia–based security provider established in 1949. The acquisition expands Guardian Alarm's footprint into West Virginia and brings Guardian's monitoring technology, resources, and service capabilities to National Central Alarm Systems' residential and commercial customers.
