Fresnillo plc Acquires Probe Gold Inc.

Fresnillo plc completed an all-cash acquisition of Probe Gold Inc. for approximately C$780 million (C$3.65 per share), closing on 22 January 2026. The deal gives Fresnillo ownership of Probe’s Novador project in the Val d'Or district (Quebec), expanding Fresnillo’s geographic footprint and gold resource base in Canada.

Fresnillo plc, through its wholly owned affiliate Fresnillo Quebec Acquisition Inc., completed the previously announced acquisition of Probe Gold Inc. under a plan of arrangement. Fresnillo acquired all outstanding Probe shares for C$3.65 in cash per share (about C$770 million total).

Command Investigations Acquires Abacus Research Inc.

Command Investigations LLC, a portfolio company of Monument MicroCap Partners, completed the acquisition of Abacus Research Inc., a full-service investigative agency based in Plainfield, Illinois. The deal is Command's sixth add-on since its 2019 recapitalization by Monument and is intended to expand geographic coverage, deepen capabilities, and accelerate cross-selling across insurance and corporate clients.
