Lactalis Canada to Acquire Agropur Cooperative Fine Cheese Division

Lactalis Canada Inc. has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Agropur Cooperative’s fine cheese division, including the OKA, Monsieur Gustav and L’Extra brands. The deal also includes two Quebec production facilities in Oka and Saint-Hyacinthe, as well as Agropur’s fine cheese import activities, and is expected to add about 400 employees to Lactalis Canada’s workforce.

Zinzino Acquires It Works! in $30M All-Share Merger

Zinzino AB (publ.) has merged U.S.-based direct sales company It Works! into its group in an all-share transaction, acquiring operational assets of It Works!' U.S. business and 100% of the shares in It Works! Marketing International UC. The fixed purchase price was USD 30 million paid by issuance of Zinzino B-shares, with up to an estimated additional USD 4 million payable in shares based on future sales; Zinzino expects the combination to add more than USD 60 million of revenue in 2026.

FrieslandCampina Completes Acquisition of Wisconsin Whey Protein

Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. has successfully closed its acquisition of Wisconsin Whey Protein, a US-based producer of whey protein isolates. The acquired business will be integrated into FrieslandCampina’s Ingredients group to expand whey protein capacity and extend FrieslandCampina’s presence in North America.

Fortifi Acquires Provisur Technologies

The deal expands Fortifi’s downstream processing and aftermarket capabilities, bringing Provisur’s brands and service network into the PE-backed Fortifi platform (which is backed by KKR).

Wellness Natural, Inc. Acquires SimplyProtein

Wellness Natural, Inc., a newly created Toronto-based natural foods company led by CEO Michael Lines, has acquired the SimplyProtein nutritional snacking brand from Simply Good Foods USA, Inc. The acquisition transfers ownership of SimplyProtein — a plant-based, high-protein snack line sold across Canada and the U.S. — to Wellness Natural, which plans to expand the brand’s distribution and product growth under its leadership and board.

Nestlé Health Science Acquires Majority Stake in Vital Proteins

Nestlé Health Science (NHSc), a subsidiary of Nestlé, agreed to acquire a majority stake in Vital Proteins, the US market leader in collagen-based supplements, beverages and food products. Vital Proteins will continue to operate as a standalone business under CEO Kurt Seidensticker, with the deal intended to accelerate global expansion and product innovation.
