Dental Acquisitions in Ohio

Premier Care Dental Management (PCDM) has acquired Laskey Dental Care in Toledo, Ohio, expanding PCDM's Ohio footprint to 10 general dentistry offices and one endodontic specialty practice. The acquisition brings Laskey's clinicians and staff into PCDM's Dental Clinical Organization to expand patient access and standardize clinical operations across the region.

Premier Care Dental Management (PCDM) has acquired Great Smiles Family Dentistry, a family dental practice in Toledo, Ohio led by Dr. Nadeem Khan. The practice will join PCDM's growing Dental Clinical Organization to access technology, operational support, and a collaborative network as PCDM expands its footprint in Ohio.

Dental365 has acquired Van Buren Dental, a long-established general dentistry practice in Kettering, Ohio, as part of Dental365’s continued expansion in the state. The practice will remain staffed locally while gaining access to Dental365’s clinical resources and infrastructure to support expanded services and patient care.

Dental365, a Dental Clinical Organization (DCO) headquartered in New Hyde Park, New York, has entered the Ohio market by acquiring six dental practices located in Toledo, Maumee, Oregon, Alliance, Akron and Louisville, and is opening a de novo endodontic practice in Toledo. The announcement highlights that Dr. Jon Frankel (Frankel Dentistry) and his team of 26 dentists and more than 200 employees are joining Dental365 as part of the expansion.

ScaleCo Capital announced the sale of its portfolio company Cap City Dental Lab (dba Dental Alliance Group), a Columbus-based national dental laboratory with eight locations. The buyer was not disclosed in the announcement; ScaleCo said it acquired Cap City in 2018, added four new lab locations and completed three add-on acquisitions during its ownership before exiting the investment.

National Dentex Labs (NDX) has acquired Swan Dental Lab of Brunswick, Ohio, with terms not disclosed. Operations will be consolidated at the Swan facility (renamed NDX Cleveland) to combine the teams (about 30 employees at the facility); Swan owners Martin Switalski and Maureen Antolik will remain with the business in customer-facing roles.

Empire Dental Arts, a Mentor, Ohio-based dental partnership organization, has acquired the dental practice Palladino DDS & Associates in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Empire — which is PE-backed by Evolution Capital Partners — said the deal is its third acquisition in the prior year and expands its affiliated network across Northeast Ohio.

Empire Dental Arts, a portfolio company of Evolution Capital Partners, has acquired Papich-Forsyth D.D.S. & Associates, adding the practice's two locations in Stow and Cuyahoga Falls to Empire's network in Northeast Ohio. The acquisition is an add-on to Empire's platform and marks the first investment since Evolution acquired Empire in January 2020, bringing Empire's affiliated offices to six.

Evolution Capital Partners LLC announced a growth investment in Empire Dental Arts, a dental partnership organization founded by Dr. D. Todd Russell and headquartered in Mentor, Ohio. The investment — the first from Evolution's Fund IV — will support Empire's expansion of centralized administrative and operational services for a network of dental practices in Northeast Ohio.
