Dental Acquisitions in Texas

Allied OMS has added Kerrville Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to its Texas platform, expanding the company's presence in the Texas Hill Country (Austin and San Antonio markets). The practice provides oral and maxillofacial surgery services — including anesthesia, extractions, implants and bone grafting — and will leverage Allied OMS's operational and marketing resources to grow patient access and practice capabilities.

MB2 Dental has completed a recapitalization led by Warburg Pincus that includes a $525 million investment and provides liquidity to the company's doctor partners at a total enterprise value in excess of $3.5 billion. Existing investor Charlesbank Capital Partners will remain a partner alongside KKR, and proceeds will be used to provide partner liquidity and accelerate investments in MB2's value-added services and platform growth.

Fort Bend Dental has acquired Aliana Family Dental in Sugar Land, Texas and rebranded the practice to Fort Bend Dental Aliana. The acquisition brings the Aliana patient base into Fort Bend Dental’s multi-location network while Dr. Vinny Baratta will remain as the practice’s sole dentist to ensure continuity of care.

Espire Dental has partnered with and acquired the dental practice of Dr. Gregory S. Hulings in Frisco, Texas, marking Espire's first practice in Texas and expanding its 29-practice footprint. The deal brings a long-running, multi-specialty and cosmetic dental practice into Espire's integrated dental organization to expand patient access in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

Tecum Capital, alongside Hilltop Opportunity Partners and Casla Partners, provided growth capital to Five Point Dental Specialists, a multi-specialty Dental Support Organization headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. The investment will support FPDS's growth initiatives while the founders and management continue to lead the company.

SkyKnight Capital has invested in Pearl Street Dental Partners alongside the company’s co-founders, dentist shareholders, management, and existing investor Talisker Partners. The minority growth investment will support Pearl Street’s next phase of expansion; the Dallas-headquartered dental practice management company operates 32 partner practices with more than 350 employees across Texas and Oklahoma.

Boathouse Capital portfolio company Community Dental Partners has formed a partnership with OrthoDent, a pediatric and orthodontics-focused DSO operating 12 locations across Texas. Under the agreement, CDP will provide strategic and business resources to support OrthoDent’s specialty pediatric dentistry and orthodontics services while integrating the brand into CDP’s network.

Pan-Am Dental, a portfolio company of Caymus Equity Partners, acquired Houston-based Alpha Dental Ceramics in March 2021. The add-on expands Pan-Am's geographic footprint into Houston and strengthens its dental laboratory manufacturing and service capabilities.

Surge Private Equity’s platform Access Dental Management LLC acquired Harlingen Family Dentistry, La Casa Dental and two additional multi-specialty dental practices in El Paso as part of a $15 million add-on package financed with debt from Corbel Capital Partners. The acquisitions expand Access Dental’s Texas footprint—adding presence in the Rio Grande Valley, Wichita Falls and El Paso—and broaden the DSO’s multi-specialty clinic network.

Charlesbank Capital Partners made a significant growth investment to acquire a majority interest in MB2 Dental from funds affiliated with Sentinel Capital Partners and management. The investment will support MB2's continued M&A-driven expansion of its dental partnership organization and strengthen its shared services to drive organic growth across its affiliated practices.

Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS) has made a significant growth investment to recapitalize Endo1 Partners, a Houston‑headquartered endodontic partnership organization. The capital will support Endo1's national expansion and a focused add-on acquisition program to consolidate complementary endodontic practices.

Young Innovations, a portfolio company of The Jordan Company, has acquired PuraGraft, LLC, a Kingwood, Texas-based supplier of biomaterial solutions for bone and tissue regeneration and dental surgical supplies. The acquisition will expand Young Innovations' specialty dental product portfolio and support national distribution of PuraGraft's regenerative products, pharmaceuticals and related supplies.
