Gauge Capital has made a strategic growth investment to recapitalize Affordable American Insurance (AAI), a tech-enabled property & casualty insurance agency network. The investment will provide growth capital to expand AAI's team and resources, accelerate organic expansion across its agency network, and pursue strategic acquisitions to scale the national platform.

Inszone Insurance Services, a Sacramento-based full-service insurance broker, has acquired Pikes Peak Insurance Agency of Falcon, Colorado. The deal expands Inszone's Colorado presence and brings the locally trusted personal and commercial-lines agency and its founder Chris Wood into Inszone's national platform, with Wood remaining on-site to support continuity for clients.

Inszone Insurance Services has acquired Sample Insurance Group, LLC, an independent insurance agency headquartered in Monument, Colorado. The deal expands Inszone's presence in Colorado and gives Sample Insurance Group access to Inszone's broader carrier relationships, technology and resources while the Sample team remains in place.

The acquisition is part of Trucordia's growth strategy to integrate local brokerages onto its technology and operations platform to expand capacity and better serve clients.

ALKEME, a Top 35 insurance brokerage based in Ladera Ranch, California, has acquired Aspen Gold Insurance Brokers, marking ALKEME's first expansion into Colorado. Aspen Gold, a family-owned agency based in Broomfield, Colorado, will leverage ALKEME's resources and technology to expand its commercial and personal insurance offerings; founder Caleb Joseph commented on the opportunity for clients and staff.

Frontdoor, Inc. announced it will acquire 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty in an all-cash transaction valued at $585 million, expected to close in Q4 2024 pending regulatory approvals. The acquisition expands Frontdoor’s offerings into new-home structural warranties, adds approximately 292,000 customers and ~$198 million of 2023 revenue, and is expected to create cross-selling opportunities and operational synergies.

Brown & Brown Dealer Services, a division of Brown & Brown, Inc., has completed the acquisition of Automotive Business Solutions (ABS), which operates as ABS Risk, LLC and ABS Operations, LLC. ABS, a Denver-based administrator of automotive aftermarket warranty products and claims, will continue to be led by CEO Michael Cox and will integrate with Brown & Brown’s Dealer Services to expand automotive F&I and warranty capabilities.

Hub International Limited has acquired the assets of Professional Financial Specialists Inc., a Boulder-area insurance agency that provides commercial insurance, employee benefits and retirement solutions. The acquisition strengthens Hub's employee benefits and specialty healthcare insurance capabilities in Colorado; terms were not disclosed.

Davies has acquired Afirm Solutions, a Fort Collins, Colorado-based provider of premium audit, loss control inspection and risk mitigation services, and will integrate the business into Davies U.S. Afirm's management and employees will join Davies' Insurance Services team to broaden Davies' specialist audit and loss-control capabilities across the U.S. and parts of Canada.

OneDigital, a national health, retirement/wealth and HR advisory firm headquartered in Atlanta, acquired Cost Plus Advisors, LLC, a Vail-based benefits consulting firm that uses a Cost Plus (reference-based) pricing model. The acquisition expands OneDigital’s benefits division and adds cost-containment capabilities for self-funded plan sponsors, with Cost Plus’s team integrating under the OneDigital name.

USI Insurance Services announced the acquisition of Colorado Springs–based CB Insurance, LLC, a nearly 100-year-old regional brokerage specializing in commercial and personal risk programs. The deal expands USI’s presence and commercial/personal risk capabilities in Colorado; terms were not disclosed.

Alera Group, a national employee benefits and insurance firm based in Deerfield, Illinois, acquired Fall River Employee Benefits, a Denver-based benefits brokerage, effective March 1, 2020.
