IT Services Acquisitions in Iowa

Corporate Technologies, a Tonka Bay Equity Partners portfolio company, has acquired RSPN, an MSP based in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The deal expands Corporate Technologies' national footprint to 17 markets and is the firm's second acquisition since partnering with Tonka Bay in 2023.

The 20 MSP Group has acquired Collabrance, LLC., a master managed IT services provider headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Collabrance will retain its brand and all 44 employees will remain as part of The 20's MSP growth platform, expanding The 20's service capabilities and channel expertise.

Technology Acquisition Capital LLC has acquired Seven Verbs LLC, a management consultancy focused on custom software development founded in Iowa. Marcus Kyriakopoulos, Founder of Technology Acquisition Capital, has been named CEO of Seven Verbs while founder Bob Sorensen will step back and remain in an advisory role as the firm implements operational improvements.

Webspec, a Des Moines-area digital agency, has acquired Covenant, a Drupal development firm headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. The acquisition brings additional Drupal engineering capability and enterprise CMS support to Webspec and allows Covenant clients to access Webspec's digital marketing, SEO and broader web services.

Aureon has acquired cloud and managed IT commercial clients from Northwest Communications Inc., transferring those customers in northwest Iowa to Aureon. The deal expands Aureon's managed IT and cloud services footprint in the Midwest; financial terms were not disclosed.

Ascend Technologies, backed by private equity firm M/C Partners, has merged with Doextra CRM Solutions to combine Salesforce implementation, CRM consulting and managed services capabilities. The merger creates a combined organization of more than 195 U.S.-based professionals with offices in Chicago, Illinois and Des Moines, Iowa to expand Salesforce-focused services for insurance and financial services clients.

Valeo Networks, a division of Saalex Corporation and national Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), has acquired Etech Solutions, an Ankeny, Iowa-based managed service provider (MSP) and affiliate EtechASP. The acquisition establishes Valeo's first Midwest office, expands its nationwide MSSP footprint and capabilities in cybersecurity, managed services and cloud hosting; financial terms were not disclosed.

NeoNova, an NRTC company, has acquired SecurityCoverage, a Cedar Rapids–based provider of 24/7 help desk, technical support and cybersecurity solutions. SecurityCoverage will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of NeoNova and retain its headquarters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; financial terms were not disclosed. The deal expands NeoNova’s managed broadband and support capabilities for rural telecom and cable providers.

Involta has acquired Iowa-based cloud strategy and design firm BluPrairie, LLC to expand its public cloud and hybrid IT services. BluPrairie founder Michelle Bates will join Involta as Chief Innovation Officer as the firms combine public cloud expertise with Involta’s managed services offering to deliver hybrid cloud and managed solutions.
