IT Services Acquisitions in Kansas

Net at Work, a Lovell Minnick–backed managed services provider, has acquired Kansas-based Network Computer Solutions (NCS) to expand its Midwest footprint and strengthen its managed services capabilities. The deal also transfers NCS's Nterfuse software platform to Net at Work, preserving service continuity for Nterfuse customers while providing broader support and access to Net at Work's cybersecurity, cloud, ERP and national managed services infrastructure.

Corporate Technologies, a Tonka Bay Equity Partners-backed national managed IT services provider, has acquired Cenetric, a Kansas City-based managed services provider (MSP) serving small and mid-sized businesses. The deal expands Corporate Technologies' footprint to 18 U.S. markets and is its third acquisition since partnering with Tonka Bay in 2023.

Evergreen (operating under Pine Services Group) has acquired the Acumatica practice of High Touch Technologies and will integrate the practice into i-Tech Support, an Evergreen portfolio company acquired in January 2024. The add-on brings approximately 40 clients and experienced Acumatica staff to i-Tech, expanding its ERP capabilities and industry coverage (notably lawn & landscaping) within Pine Services Group's ERP vertical.

Align Capital Partners, a growth-oriented private equity firm, has acquired ISPN Network Services, a managed IT services provider serving broadband fiber and internet operators. ISPN founders Jeff Neblett and Scott Lauber will remain in leadership as the firm pursues expanded service lines and M&A to support growth in suburban and rural broadband markets.

UPSTACK has acquired Strategic Telecom Partners, a technology services advisory firm based in Overland Park, Kansas. As part of the deal (terms undisclosed), founder Brad Carrell will join UPSTACK as Partner and Managing Director to strengthen the platform’s telecom and network advisory capabilities as part of its ongoing roll-up strategy.

ECS / My IT completed an add-on acquisition of Network Technologies, a Kansas City–based managed services provider with ~30 employees, expanding ECS / My IT's presence in Kansas City and the broader Midwest. The deal, announced June 8, 2021, follows ECS / My IT's partnership with investors Kian Capital and ParkSouth Ventures and strengthens the platform's capabilities—particularly in the financial services vertical.

ECS / My IT, a PE-backed managed services platform, completed the add-on acquisition of The Purple Guys, a Kansas City-based managed service provider. The deal expands ECS / My IT's geographic presence into Kansas City and the broader Midwest, adding TPG's ~35 employees and 175+ clients to the combined organization.

Velocity, a managed services company headquartered in Holland, Ohio, has acquired CTI Solutions, a digital signage and content management technology company based in Overland Park, Kansas. The acquisition is intended to strengthen Velocity’s in-house SaaS development capabilities and expand its digital signage, CMS and interactive touchless solution offerings for hospitality, healthcare, retail and entertainment customers.

Chesterfield, Missouri-based Swizznet, a cloud-hosting and accounting-focused software provider in the Bluff Point Associates portfolio, has acquired Lenexa, Kansas-based RightSize Solutions, an outsourced IT and cybersecurity provider for independent registered investment advisers (RIAs). The deal expands Swizznet's cybersecurity, compliance and managed-technology offerings for the financial services and accounting markets as an add-on to its existing platform.

OakLeaf Software, Inc., led by retired Rear Admiral Mark Heinrich, has acquired DPRA, a 60-year-old provider of custom software, environmental analysis and public sector consulting headquartered in Manhattan, Kansas. The combined company will increase investment in cloud-based enterprise software and augment leadership, with DPRA's CEO Denis O'Keefe stepping down to a board role and new senior hires added to the leadership team.
