IT Services Acquisitions in Utah

HR Path, the Paris-based global HR consulting and HRIS solutions provider, has acquired Lumi, a U.S.-based Workday integrations specialist founded in 2017. The deal strengthens HR Path's Workday capabilities and expands its presence in North America.

Foretopia, an Oracle NetSuite Alliance Partner headquartered in Salt Lake City, has acquired Esonus, a Utah-based NetSuite technology and development firm, with the companies merging under the Foretopia brand effective January 1, 2026. The acquisition expands Foretopia's NetSuite implementation, integrations, SuiteApp development and AI-driven managed services across North America; former Esonus Managing Director Colin Boothe joins Foretopia as CIO and Chief Revenue Officer.

Bluewave Technology Group has acquired Streamline Communications, a Greater Salt Lake City–based technology solutions provider, bringing Bluewave into the Utah market. The deal expands Bluewave's technology advisory and sourcing footprint and gives Streamline clients access to broader advisory services across network, cloud, customer experience (CX) and security.

Metropolitan Partners Group committed $60 million to Nexus IT, a Salt Lake City–based managed services and cybersecurity provider, in partnership with Diatonic Healthcare. The capital will be used to accelerate Nexus IT’s nationwide expansion via founder-led, values-aligned acquisitions of culturally compatible MSPs and MSSPs, particularly in regulated industries like healthcare, finance, and legal.

Cyber Advisors, a Twin Cities-based managed IT and cybersecurity provider, has acquired Wasatch I.T., a Salt Lake City-based managed services firm. The deal expands Cyber Advisors' geographic footprint into the Western United States and strengthens its managed IT and cybersecurity capabilities while Wasatch co-owners take an ownership stake in Cyber Advisors.

Heckens & Wood Capital, a lower middle-market private equity firm, has acquired FortifyIT, a Utah-based managed IT, cybersecurity and cloud services consultancy. The deal is Heckens & Wood’s first acquisition as it seeks to build an integrated managed IT services platform; terms were not disclosed.

Codex IT, a Columbus-based healthcare-focused managed services provider, has acquired Intranet Consulting, Inc., a Salt Lake City/Farmington-area managed services provider. The acquisition expands Codex IT’s presence along the Wasatch Front and increases its support capabilities for healthcare and regional clients in Utah.

Eos Partners led a majority recapitalization of MetaSource, a Draper, Utah-based provider of technology-enabled BPO and digital transformation services. Longshore Capital Partners sold the majority stake but remains a minority investor and board representative, while MetaSource senior management also invested and will continue to lead the business.

INTELITECHS, a Salt Lake City-based managed IT services provider, has acquired Total Cloud IT to expand its managed IT and cloud computing offerings and extend its regional business to a national audience. The deal will allow INTELITECHS to offer broader cloud services to existing clients while delivering more comprehensive managed IT and security services to former cloud-only customers.

Genpact has acquired Hoodoo Digital, a Salt Lake City-based digital experience consultancy and Adobe Platinum Solution Partner, and will fold the business into its Rightpoint experience unit. The acquisition expands Rightpoint's Adobe Experience Cloud and AEM implementation capabilities; Canaccord Genuity served as exclusive financial advisor to Hoodoo Digital.

Infosys announced a definitive agreement to acquire Simplus, a Salesforce Platinum Partner headquartered in Salt Lake City, to strengthen its enterprise cloud and Salesforce capabilities and expand its presence in the United States and Australia. The acquisition, expected to close in Infosys' fiscal Q4 2020, adds Simplus' expertise in Salesforce CPQ and Billing, implementation, integration and managed services along with offices across North America, Australia, the UK and a delivery center in Manila.

AppLabs Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has acquired Lab Acquisition Corporation dba KeyLabs, a Utah-based software and hardware testing lab and certification services provider. The deal combines AppLabs' global testing and development capabilities with KeyLabs' North American QA lab and expertise to create a larger independent software testing services provider.
