Hightekers acquired Serviap Global, a LATAM-focused Employer of Record (EOR) and contractor-management provider, to expand its direct operational footprint into Latin America and strengthen its global EOR capabilities. The deal expands Hightekers' direct presence to 40 countries (supporting over 3,500 workers globally) and accelerates integration of services, technology, and local expertise across the combined group.

G&A Partners, a national professional employer organization (PEO) headquartered in Houston, has acquired HRO Resources, an HR outsourcing firm based in the Houston area. G&A will integrate HRO Resources' HR, payroll, benefits and compliance services and retain its Austin-based brokerage as part of G&A Beneficial to expand service capabilities and client reach.

G&A Partners, a national professional employer organization (PEO) headquartered in Houston, has acquired San Antonio-based PEOs Integrity HRM and Covenant Services. The transactions expand G&A’s presence in the San Antonio market and fold the two small, locally focused HR/payroll firms into G&A’s platform while retaining client transitions and founder support roles.

Austin-based fractional business services firm 512Financial has acquired HireBetter, a strategic talent and executive recruiting firm. The deal expands 512Financial's recruiting capabilities and adds HireBetter's Strategic Talent Planning methodology to its suite of finance, HR, and recruiting services.

Deel has acquired Safeguard Global’s payroll division, bringing hundreds of Safeguard payroll experts and their enterprise global payroll capabilities into Deel’s platform. The deal strengthens Deel’s ability to execute large, complex global payroll projects and deepens its integrations with partners such as Workday while Safeguard will continue to be supported under an agreement for existing and future international payroll customers.

Fractional business services firm 512Financial has acquired AustinPeopleWorks (APW), a fractional HR and recruiting firm based in Austin, Texas. The deal expands 512Financial's HR capabilities and adds recruiting and talent-sourcing services to its fractional finance, accounting, HR, and marketing offerings while retaining APW's client relationships and team members.

Boca Raton-based healthcare staffing firm Health Advocates Network has acquired DiagnosTemps, a Dallas-based radiology staffing firm. The deal will expand Health Advocates Network’s allied staffing capabilities and scale its presence in Texas; DiagnosTemps will operate as a separate, Joint Commission–certified division led by its existing management team.

MPAY has acquired Web Payroll & Tax Solutions, a San Antonio-based payroll and digital payment provider, effective October 1, 2024. The deal expands MPAY's Payentry platform footprint and strengthens its presence in Texas as part of MPAY's ongoing roll-up strategy and third acquisition in 2024.

Los Angeles-based private equity firm LightBay Capital has made a strategic growth investment in Questco, a Certified Professional Employer Organization (CPEO) headquartered in metro Houston. The partnership will support Questco’s direct sales and channel expansion, technology investments, and pursuit of add-on acquisitions; Parallel49 Equity is referenced as the departing investor/partner.

Vensure Employer Solutions acquired San Antonio-based Execupay, a payroll, HR technology and services provider focused on small and mid-sized businesses. The deal — Vensure's 75th acquisition in six years — adds nearly 800,000 worksite employees to Vensure’s platform (raising its WSE count to about 4 million) and keeps Execupay CEO Gerald Stowers in place to continue leading the business.

First Tek, Inc. has acquired Cenergy International Services, Inc. in a strategic acquisition announced April 2024. Madison Street Capital acted as exclusive advisor to Cenergy; the purchase expands First Tek’s staffing and field services capabilities in the energy, aerospace and industrial sectors.

TPG (via TPG Capital) has acquired a stake in G&A Partners, a Houston-based professional employer organization (PEO), in a transaction that resulted in The Riverside Company exiting its investment. G&A Partners, which supports more than 3,000 small- and medium-sized businesses with HR, payroll and benefits services, will partner with TPG and management/employees to pursue further growth; terms were not disclosed.

EXCEL Management Systems, Inc., a minority‑owned IT solutions firm based in Columbus, Ohio, has acquired The Romack Group, a Dallas‑based provider of staffing, employer-of-record (EOR), and IT security staffing services. The deal was facilitated by Benchmark International and is intended to expand EXCEL's service capabilities and client relationships in staffing and EOR services.

Houston-based IT staffing platform Talent Groups, backed by Osceola Capital, has acquired Dallas-based Abacus Technical Services and The InSource Group to expand its national IT staffing footprint and capabilities. The acquisitions (closed in Q3 2023) are add-on deals to Talent Groups' platform; financial terms were not disclosed.

Veritas Management Group, a management consulting firm based in Alpharetta, Georgia, has acquired ASAP Talent Services, an IT executive search and staff augmentation firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. The acquisition expands VMG’s IT recruiting, contract staffing and cybersecurity recruiting capabilities and opens access to federal and public-sector clients while bringing nearly 100 employees across both companies under the combined organization.

WestView Capital Partners completed a minority growth investment in Triple Crown Consulting, a Texas-based provider of engineering and technical staffing specializing in semiconductor, embedded systems, and hardware engineering. WestView partners will join Triple Crown's board to support the company's next phase of growth and leverage WestView's experience backing specialized staffing businesses.

INSPYR Solutions, a portfolio company of A&M Capital Partners, has acquired Ntelicor, an IT staffing and solutions firm based in Dallas. The deal expands INSPYR's national footprint and enhances its technical staffing and consulting capabilities across end markets including aviation, hospitality, manufacturing and the federal government.

Xalles Holdings Inc. (OTC: XALL) executed an agreement to acquire Texas-based Capital Innovations Management, LLC (CIM), which will become a wholly owned subsidiary under Xalles Technology Inc. CIM — a Houston-area domestic staffing firm expected to contribute roughly $4 million in 2023 — will receive VGR Technology Partners' domestic staffing portfolio as part of the transaction to focus VGR on international staffing.

BGSF, Inc. (NYSE: BGSF), a national provider of consulting, managed services and workforce solutions, acquired Texas-based Horn Solutions, Inc., a workforce solutions firm focused on finance, accounting and IT staffing. The acquisition adds Horn’s teams and capabilities across Houston, Dallas and Austin to BGSF’s consulting and managed services platforms, enabling cross-selling and expanded IT managed services.

Critical Energy Infrastructure Services (CEIS), a platform formed by private investment firm White Wolf Capital, has acquired Rayne Staffing, a Houston-based staffing firm specializing in engineering, construction management and skilled trades professionals for the energy infrastructure sector. Financial terms were not disclosed; White Wolf said the acquisition will provide Rayne with capital and resources to accelerate growth as part of CEIS's platform serving utilities, nuclear power generation and other power customers.

HireBetter, an Austin-based strategic talent partner, has acquired Austin-based Diverse Recruiting Experts (DRE). The acquisition expands HireBetter's recruiting capabilities — in particular DRE's Sourcing-as-a-Service and diverse-talent sourcing expertise — and will support the launch of HireBetter's Recruiting-as-a-Service offering.

Audax Private Equity has acquired DISA Global Solutions, a Houston-based provider of employee screening, testing, and compliance management services, from Court Square Capital Partners. Audax intends to support DISA's growth through investments in technology and talent and pursue add-on acquisitions to expand DISA's geographic footprint, end-market coverage, and service portfolio.

The Halifax Group completed an investment in The Liberty Group, a Houston-based provider of specialty temporary staffing, executive search, and employee screening services serving the multifamily residential real estate industry. The company, founded in 1977 and operating in 30 markets across 23 states, was previously owned by Merit Capital Partners and Six Pillars Partners; terms were not disclosed.

Richmond-based Lingo Staffing acquired FJC Personnel (Central Texas) in May 2022 to expand its brick-and-mortar staffing operations into Texas. FJC Personnel will be fully incorporated and branded as part of Lingo, with former FJC president Fred Cartmill continuing to lead the Austin-area branch and existing staff remaining in place.

Austin-based private investment firm Owner Resource Group (ORG) has made an investment to recapitalize Employer Flexible Management, LLC, a Houston-based professional employer organization (PEO). The recapitalization partners ORG with CEO and co-founder Michael Hopkins and management to support geographic expansion, technology investments and strategic acquisitions; co-founders Chris Dollins and Michael Greathouse will retain continued ownership.

SkillStorm has acquired Talent Path, a hire-train-deploy tech talent company, and will integrate Talent Path’s consultants and clients into its workforce development operations. At the same time, private equity firm Achieve Partners — which previously backed Talent Path — is making a strategic investment in SkillStorm to support integration and accelerated growth.

Crescent Cove Advisors has made a significant growth investment in Kingsley Gate Partners to accelerate the executive search firm's global expansion, augment leadership recruiting, and accelerate investment in its talent-acquisition and AI software capabilities. Kingsley Gate co-founder Umesh Ramakrishnan was named CEO; 7 Mile Advisors served as the exclusive sell-side advisor on the transaction.

Main Street Capital Corporation completed a $14.6 million growth capital investment and minority recapitalization in Johnson Downie, LLC, a Houston-based provider of lateral partner placements and retained partner-level recruiting services for law firms across Texas. The financing comprised first-lien senior secured term debt and a direct minority equity investment; Main Street partnered with an unnamed co-investor and the Company's existing owner/management team to facilitate the transaction.

Hire Dynamics, a PE-backed Atlanta staffing firm, has acquired Houston-based The Daniel Group to deepen its presence across Texas. The deal expands Hire Dynamics’ local branch footprint and adds engineering, finance and accounting staffing expertise in the Houston market.

Hire Dynamics, a commercial staffing company headquartered in Atlanta and owned by MSouth Equity Partners, acquired Dallas-based Select Staff to strengthen its presence across Texas. The deal closed October 1, 2021, and brings Select Staff’s 10 Texas branches into Hire Dynamics’ network to expand services across light industrial, office/clerical and accounting/finance markets.

PRO Unlimited has acquired WillHire, a direct-sourcing and worker experience platform, to integrate WillHire’s talent-pool, self-assessment and candidate-engagement capabilities into PRO’s DirectSource PRO and Wand VMS offerings. The deal expands PRO’s direct-sourcing coverage into light-industrial and shift-worker categories and strengthens its worker experience and AI-driven sourcing capabilities.

Merit Capital Partners and Six Pillars Partners, in partnership with The Liberty Group founder Ken Bohan, have acquired The Liberty Group, a Houston-based specialty temporary staffing and executive search firm serving the U.S. multi-family real estate industry. Merit provided subordinated debt and equity for the recapitalization to support growth and expand Liberty's on-site staffing, executive search and onboarding capabilities; the company was represented by Capital Alliance.

HireQuest, Inc., through its subsidiary HQ Snelling Corporation, entered into a definitive asset purchase agreement to acquire certain assets of Snelling Staffing for approximately $17.3 million (before working capital adjustments). The deal includes 48 Snelling locations (about $95 million in system-wide sales in 2020) and is intended to expand HireQuest’s commercial staffing capabilities and geographic footprint across the U.S.

Housatonic Partners, a growth-oriented private equity firm, made a significant growth equity investment in Working Solutions to fund technology automation and support geographic and market expansion. The capital will help the on-demand, onshore contact center provider scale its virtual model and expand tools, channels and geographies amid strong demand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prolucent Health, a new healthcare workforce technology startup founded by Bruce Springer, has launched and simultaneously acquired Liquid Compass, a jobs marketplace and recruitment-marketing platform for healthcare employers and jobseekers. The acquisition adds Liquid Compass's marketplace, workforce analytics and recruitment tools to Prolucent's AI-powered suite to improve hiring efficiency and workforce utilization across healthcare organizations.

Rubicon Technology Partners has made a strategic majority investment in OutMatch, a Dallas-based talent intelligence platform, to accelerate product innovation, go-to-market expansion, and an active acquisition roadmap. Camden Partners will remain an investment partner; Raymond James served as financial advisor on the transaction.

Accel-KKR provided a significant growth equity investment in Safeguard Global to support product innovation and the company’s global expansion. The capital will be used to advance Safeguard Global’s workforce deployment and payroll solutions and expand its international footprint to better serve multinational customers.
