Construction Acquisitions in Florida

Moss, a national construction management firm headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, has acquired Tampa-based Ellison Construction. The deal expands Moss’ footprint and capacity in the fast-growing Tampa Bay market while integrating Ellison’s team and local relationships into Moss’ platform.

R.L. James, a portfolio company of Hidden Harbor Capital Partners, has acquired Blanchard Caulking & Coating, LLC, a Jacksonville-based provider of caulking, waterproofing, painting and exterior restoration services. The deal expands RL James' geographic footprint into Northeast Florida and broadens its service capabilities across the region; Jeremy Blanchard will remain with the business. Financing for the transaction was provided by First Eagle Alternative Credit.

Construction Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROAD) has acquired P&S Paving, Inc., a Daytona Beach-based asphalt paving and sitework contractor. The operations will be integrated into CPI's Florida platform, C.W. Roberts Contracting, expanding the company's footprint along Florida's east coast and the Interstate 95 corridor.

R.L. James, a portfolio company of Hidden Harbor Capital Partners, has acquired Commercial Plastering USA, LLC, a Bradenton, Florida-based provider of plastering, exterior finishes, and drywall services. The add-on expands RL James' service capabilities and geographic footprint into Southwest Florida; founder William (“Billy”) Rice will remain with the business. Financing was provided by First Eagle Alternative Credit.

Centex Construction, supported by O2 Investment Partners, has made an investment in and partnered with One Way Property Restoration. The deal adds emergency mitigation, restoration, mold remediation, reconstruction, and carpet cleaning capabilities to Centex's multi-family renovation and maintenance platform and expands Centex's geographic footprint into four additional states.

Roofing Corp of America (RCA), a subsidiary of FirstService Corporation, has acquired Springer-Peterson Roofing & Sheet Metal and A-1 All American Roofing Co. The tuck-in add-ons expand RCA’s presence in the U.S. Sun Belt—strengthening its commercial roofing footprint in central Florida and along the California coast—while existing management teams will remain with retained minority equity interests. Terms were not disclosed.

Stronghouse Solutions, a national residential roofing and exterior services platform, has acquired Gustafson Roofing of Boynton Beach, Florida. The acquisition — announced by sponsor O2 Investment Partners — will bolster Stronghouse’s retail exterior division, establish a regional hub in Southeast Florida, and provide Gustafson with capital, technology and operational support to expand.

Lightview Capital made a strategic majority investment to create Vermana, a newly consolidated commercial pool services and construction platform combining Vermana, Pulexa, and nV Pools and headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Patriot Capital and Aldine Capital Partners provided complementary financing alongside Lightview to support the platform’s rebrand, geographic expansion across the Southeast, and follow-on acquisition strategy; Parcrest Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to the sellers (founders).

Osceola Capital has recapitalized Miami-based GC Restoration in partnership with founders Albert, Jorge and Maria Cabada and launched Fortify Restoration as a new structural restoration platform. The deal provides capital and strategic support to scale GC Restoration's concrete restoration, waterproofing and exterior restoration services across Florida and beyond.

PAX Services Group, a portfolio company of New State Capital Partners, has acquired South Florida–based Hi-Tech Roofing & Sheet Metal. The acquisition expands PAX's presence in Florida and adds Hi-Tech's commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing and sheet metal capabilities to PAX's building envelope platform; Hi-Tech's management, including owner Mike Daley, will remain with the business.

Del-Air Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electric has acquired Keystone Energy & Power Corporation to expand Del-Air's Residential New Construction (RNC) division and strengthen its electrical contracting capabilities for large-scale residential developments in Florida. Keystone, founded in 2009 by Alan Deese and based in the greater Orlando area, will be integrated into Del-Air's RNC operations; Del-Air is majority owned by Astara Capital Partners.

Beck Technology has acquired Workpack (Workpack.ai), an AI-powered takeoff solution that automates detection and measurement on 2D drawings to accelerate quantity takeoffs. The acquisition integrates Workpack's computer-vision driven automation into Beck's DESTINI Estimator to improve speed and accuracy in preconstruction estimating workflows.

Azure Capital International, LLC (a Naples-based private equity firm) acquired S&E Renovations, Inc., a custom residential remodeling firm headquartered in Venice, Florida. The deal closed on March 20, 2025 as part of Azure Capital's strategy to build a portfolio of renovation contracting and professional services businesses across the Southeast.

Skyline Roofing Partners, a residential roofing platform backed by Imperial Capital, has acquired Classic Roofing & Construction and John Hogan Roofing, two regional residential re-roofing companies serving Florida's west coast. Owner Jake Babbitt will retain a minority stake and join Skyline's Founder's Council as the platform continues to expand its footprint through add-on acquisitions.

Thomas Lawrence Enterprises, a Naples-based home builder founded in 2000, has been acquired by individual buyer Alek Mason. Founder Thomas Lawrence sold the business to ensure continuity of values and craftsmanship, with Viking Mergers & Acquisitions advising and facilitating the transaction.

Lynx Equity Limited has acquired Henry's Carpet & Interiors, Inc. (HCI), a South Florida full-service commercial flooring distributor and installer, as an add-on to its Lynx Flooring Portfolio. The deal strengthens Lynx's presence in the South Florida commercial flooring market and aims to leverage HCI's local expertise under the Lynx Flooring platform.

Boyne Capital’s portfolio company Pinnacle Home Improvement Group has expanded into Florida through strategic partnerships with FAS Windows & Doors (Orlando) and Lindholm Roofing (Islamorada). Both businesses will retain their brands and management while joining the Pinnacle platform as add-on partners to support Pinnacle’s regional growth in exterior home improvement services.

Monument MicroCap Partners portfolio company Kelly Roofing Holdings, LLC completed the acquisition of Integrity Roofing & Gutters Inc. on January 15, 2025. The add-on expands Kelly Roofing’s capabilities into multifamily and commercial roofing and extends its geographic reach across the Southeast (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina).

An affiliate of Sun Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of Latite Roofing & Sheet Metal, Florida's largest provider of commercial and residential roofing services. Sun Capital will position Latite as a platform to expand in the Florida building services market and support growth through operational resources and M&A.

Perry Homes, a large privately held homebuilder based in Houston, has acquired MasterCraft Builder Group, a regional homebuilder in the Jacksonville/St. Johns, Florida area. The acquisition expands Perry Homes' operations in Florida; MasterCraft's owners, including CEO Chris Shee and his brother Brad, sold the business with Builder Advisor Group serving as exclusive financial advisor to MasterCraft.

The Valcourt Group has acquired Restocon, a Tampa-based specialty construction and waterproofing contractor, to expand Valcourt's capabilities in parking garage repair and waterproofing. Restocon's leadership will remain in place and the acquisition is intended to broaden Valcourt's specialty services and enable expansion into new markets.

Roofing Services Solutions (RSS), a portfolio company of Dunes Point Capital, has acquired Quality First Roofing, LLC, a Lecanto, Florida-based provider of re-roofing and building exterior services. The add-on deal expands RSS’s footprint in Florida; Quality First operates two locations and employs roughly 15 people while RSS operates eleven locations with ~185 employees.

Roofing Services Solutions (RSS), a portfolio company of Dunes Point Capital, LP (DPC), has acquired Earl W. Johnston Roofing, LLC (EJ), a Hollywood, Florida-based provider of re-roofing and building exterior services. EJ operates one location and employs approximately 30 people; the acquisition is an add-on to RSS's Florida footprint (RSS has nine Florida locations and ~170 employees).

Concurrent Utility Services, a Sanford, Florida-based provider of power and telecom construction and maintenance services, has acquired Atlantic Utility Constructors, Inc., a Melbourne, Florida utility contractor. The deal expands Concurrent's geographic footprint into central and northeast Florida and broadens its underground construction and telecom/fiber installation capabilities.

Coastal Luxury Outdoors, a portfolio company of Carl Capital, acquired a series of local pool businesses across Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida, including Andy's Pools, BAP Pools, Gene's Pool Service, Purple Heart Pools, the maintenance division of Crown Pools, United Pool Service, Suncaster Pools, and The Pool Chick. The add-on acquisitions expand Coastal Luxury Outdoors' service capabilities, geographic footprint and maintenance capacity in the luxury outdoor living and pool market.

Restoration Builders Holdings, through its subsidiary RB Residential, completed an asset purchase of Massey Construction Group, a top-rated roofing services provider in Southwest Florida. Founder Mark Massey will join Restoration Builders in an expanded managerial role as the acquisition expands Restoration Builders' national footprint and service offering.

Synergos Companies has acquired ODC Construction, marking Synergos' first significant expansion into Florida and the eastern United States. ODC, founded in 2011 and based in the greater Orlando market, is a regional leader in shell construction providing foundations, block masonry, and lumber framing services.

Scarborough-based Landry/French Construction has acquired MH Williams Construction Group, a commercial construction firm based in Melbourne, Florida. The deal will keep MH Williams' name and leadership in place while giving Landry/French a foothold on Florida's Space Coast and allowing MH Williams employees to join Landry/French's ESOP.

Roofing Services Solutions (RSS), a portfolio company of Dunes Point Capital, has acquired Stratus Construction & Roofing, a Maitland, Florida-based provider of re-roofing and building exterior services. Stratus operates one location with approximately 30 employees; RSS adds the business to its Florida platform (seven locations, ~140 employees) as an add-on to expand capabilities and footprint in multi-family, residential and commercial roofing.

Peak Roofing Partners, a platform backed by Exuma Capital Partners, has acquired Action Roofing, a South Florida-based residential and homebuilder roofing contractor founded in 1986. The deal is an add-on to build Peak Roofing's platform presence in Florida and the southeastern U.S., providing additional resources and operational scale for growth.

Roofing Corp of America (RCA), a subsidiary of FirstService Corporation, has acquired Crowther Roofing and Cooling and Hamilton Roofing, adding a significant presence in Florida and collectively contributing more than $150 million of annual revenue. The existing management teams will retain minority equity and continue to run day-to-day operations; terms were not disclosed.

Stellar Development, a Sarasota-based general contracting firm, has acquired The CGC Group Florida LLC to expand its service offerings and footprint in the Florida market. The deal brings CGC leader Craig Campbell into Stellar as a project executive and is intended to strengthen Stellar's private-sector capabilities across commercial, healthcare and industrial projects.

Roofing Services Solutions (RSS), a portfolio company of Dunes Point Capital, has acquired West Orange Roofing, LLC, a Tavares, Florida-based provider of re-roofing and building exterior services. West Orange operates three Florida locations with approximately 40 employees; the acquisition is an add-on to RSS's Florida platform (which has six locations and ~110 employees) to expand service capacity and geographic footprint in the state.

Skyline Roofing Partners, an Imperial Capital-backed platform, has acquired Elo Roofing, a residential roofing contractor headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. The founders and existing management will remain in place as Skyline uses the acquisition as its inaugural add-on to build a national residential roofing and exterior services platform.

Harkness Capital Partners completed an investment in Best Roofing LLC on April 1, 2024. The New York-based private equity firm will partner with founder and CEO Gregg Wallick to support geographic expansion and platform growth of the Fort Lauderdale-based commercial roofing business across Florida.

Kelly Roofing Holdings, a Monument MicroCap Partners portfolio company, has recapitalized JJ Quality Builders of the Palm Beaches, a Palm Beach County roofing contractor focused on residential and multi-family roof replacement, repairs, and solar services. The transaction gives Kelly Roofing expanded access to Florida markets and strengthens its position as a premier residential roofing provider in the state.

Infinity Home Services has acquired two South Florida roofing companies, Carpenter's Roofing & Sheet Metal and Altec Roofing, marking the 16th and 17th brands to join its portfolio. The deals expand Infinity's presence in Florida's residential and commercial roofing markets and add specialized capabilities in high-end roofing and sheet metal fabrication.

Hidden Harbor Capital Partners has acquired R.L. James Inc., a Fort Myers-based provider of exterior restoration and remediation services, in a transaction that closed December 15, 2023. The investment positions Hidden Harbor to scale RL James' operations across Southwest and Central Florida while providing an ownership transition for founder Bob James.

Dunes Point Capital, LP formed Roofing Services Solutions, LLC and acquired Noland's Roofing, Inc., a Clermont, Florida-based residential re-roofing and exterior services provider. Dunes Point Capital Fund III provided the controlling equity and M&T Bank provided debt financing; Noland's operates three Florida locations and employs approximately 70 people as the first investment in a platform consolidation strategy in the aftermarket roofing services space.

Broadwing Capital Management LLC has made a growth investment in Campany Roof Maintenance LLC, partnering with founders Ed and Deb Campany to support expansion of the South Florida roofing services provider. Broadwing will provide operational support and capital to scale Campany's roofing maintenance, repair, and replacement services for condominium associations, commercial properties, and high-end single-family homes.

HB Capital has acquired Structural Building Components LLC, a Deerfield Beach, Florida-based specialty contractor that provides structural shells for single- and multi-family homes. The deal facilitates a sale of equity from the current owner(s) toward employee ownership, and SBC will continue to operate under its existing management and brand.

Turner Brothers, LLC, a Massachusetts-based concrete building services company, has acquired Woodland Tilt-Up, Inc., a Florida-based specialty tilt-up construction contractor, to establish a presence in South Florida. The acquisition supports Turner Brothers’ strategic expansion into the Southeast to better serve commercial, multi-family, residential, and distribution clients.

Core Roofing Systems, a Shoreline Equity Partners-backed commercial roofing platform, has acquired McCurdy-Walden, a Jacksonville-based commercial roofing and waterproofing contractor. The deal expands Core's presence in Florida and positions McCurdy-Walden as a regional sub-platform under Core's growth strategy; financial terms were not disclosed.

The JF Petroleum Group has acquired Miller Construction Management Inc., a Lakeland, Florida-based commercial general contracting firm. The acquisition adds turn-key design-build and project management capabilities to JF's General Contracting vertical and expands its commercial and retail construction footprint across the Southeast and Gulf Coast.

The Armstrong Company has acquired Pruiba, a South Florida installer of architectural modular wall systems and acoustic baffle systems. The acquisition adds on-site installation capabilities to Armstrong's moving, relocation and supply chain services, enabling the combined business to offer a full officescape and workspace solution.

PCL Construction Enterprises, Inc. has acquired The Companies of Nassal, a specialty theming fabricator and program manager, to deepen PCL’s capabilities in entertainment, hospitality, cultural and gaming markets. Nassal will continue to operate under its existing leadership and brand while leveraging PCL’s scale, purchasing power and global reach to take on larger projects and accelerate growth.

Empower Brands, the MidOcean Partners-backed multi-brand franchisor, has added Koala Insulation and Wallaby Windows to its portfolio, bringing Empower to nine brands and adding roughly 115 franchisees. Boxwood Partners acted as exclusive sell-side advisor to the brands; the acquisition is an add-on to Empower's franchising platform to accelerate national expansion and franchisee support.

Toronto-based private equity firm Lynx Equity Limited has acquired Resource4Floors, a full-service commercial flooring contractor headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The deal is an add-on to Lynx's Lynx Flooring Portfolio (LFP) and expands the group's geographic presence into Florida while preserving existing management.

MarineMax, Inc. acquired Midcoast Construction Enterprises, LLC (Midcoast Marine Group), a Central Florida–based full-service marine construction company, adding marina development capabilities, specialized equipment, and waterfront real estate in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Midcoast founder and CEO Jack Fulford will continue to run the business as part of MarineMax's expanding marina and services platform.

Legacy Restoration, a portfolio company of Bessemer Investors, has reached a definitive agreement to merge with Janney Roofing, an Orlando-based exterior restoration and roofing specialist. The transaction expands Legacy's geographic footprint into Florida and adds Janney's retail re-roofing and marketing capabilities to Legacy's platform; debt financing was provided by Tree Line Capital Partners and Bridge Bank (Western Alliance Bank).
