Dental Acquisitions in New Jersey

Branford Castle Partners has acquired Eastern Dental Management, a 20-location dental services organization in New Jersey, from an affiliate managed by Staple Street Capital. The deal—financed with unitranche debt and equity from Siguler Guff & Company—positions Eastern Dental as a platform investment for Branford Castle to pursue growth and consolidation in the New Jersey dental market; existing management, led by CEO Ray Iannaccone, will remain in place.

The Smilist Dental, a Northeast-based dental service organization (DSO), has acquired Lakeview Dental Care, a six-location group practice in New Jersey owned by Drs. Eric Forte and Jonathan Hill. Polaris Healthcare Partners advised the sellers on the multi-million dollar transaction as The Smilist expands its footprint across the region.

Abra Health has acquired two northern New Jersey oral surgery practices — Bayonne Oral Surgery (Bayonne, NJ) and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Institute (Newark, NJ) — and will operate them under the new Garden State Oral Surgery Group while keeping existing providers and staff in place. The practices will continue to operate under their current names and locations, and Dr. Steven Dirienzo will remain on staff and provide services across additional Abra Health offices.

Vista Apex Dental Products, a dental manufacturing platform backed by Inverness Graham Investments, has acquired Palisades Dental, LLC, a U.S.-based maker of specialized dental surgery handpieces. The deal adds the IMPACT AIR 45 handpieces to Vista Apex’s endodontic and restorative product portfolio; terms were not disclosed.

Simply Beautiful Smiles, the Delaware Valley dental services organization headquartered in Trevose, Pennsylvania, has acquired Olin Dental Group in Rahway, New Jersey to expand its geographic footprint and clinical offerings. The Olin Dental Group will continue operating with no interruption and will benefit from Simply Beautiful Smiles' operational resources, network of specialists and technology.

iSmile Dental Products, a Sacramento-based dental distributor, has acquired Dental Savings International (DSI), a Union City, New Jersey–based full-line dental supplies distributor and e-commerce platform. The deal combines DSI's East Coast distribution capabilities with iSmile's West Coast operations to create a bicoastal platform that expands product selection and shortens delivery times for customers.

Biotech Dental, LLC acquired Integrated Dental Systems, LLC through a Chapter 11 Section 363 court-approved sale run by Three Twenty-One Capital Partners. The purchase pairs IDS’s U.S. distribution and sales network with Biotech’s implant and dental materials manufacturing capabilities to strengthen the combined company’s U.S. market presence and product distribution.

PG Dental Holdings, backed by TriSpan, has completed a merger with Allied Dental Holdings to create the largest dental service organization (DSO) footprint in New Jersey and expand presence in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Pro forma the transaction, the combined organization will manage 79 multi-specialty practices employing over 200 dentists and more than 130 corporate staff.

PG Dental Holdings, with affiliate Dental Health Associates, P.A. and backing from private equity firm TriSpan Opportunities, acquired Bergen Family Dental in Bayonne, New Jersey. The add-on expands PG Dental's multi-specialty dental platform and strengthens its presence in Hudson County; financial terms were not disclosed.
