IT Services Acquisitions in Indiana

Caylent has acquired Trek10 Inc., combining Caylent’s migration, modernization and AI capabilities with Trek10’s CloudOps and managed services to form an end-to-end AWS-focused services provider. The transaction was supported by Caylent’s private equity partner Gryphon Investors, with Lazard serving as exclusive financial advisor to Trek10.

Presidio has acquired the Splunk-focused business of Kinney Group (KGI) to expand and strengthen its Splunk services, adding KGI’s engineering team, Atlas software platform, and deep machine-data analytics expertise. The acquisition enhances Presidio’s capabilities across security, observability and operational analytics to help enterprise clients accelerate Splunk adoption and maximize ROI.

Synerion USA Inc., a cloud-based workforce management and access control software provider based in Southlake, Texas, has acquired Qumulex Inc., a cloud-native video surveillance and access control platform headquartered in Fishers, Indiana. The acquisition expands Synerion's physical-security and video surveillance capabilities and is intended to integrate Qumulex's cloud platform into Synerion's B2B technology offerings.

IT Convergence, a global enterprise applications and cloud consulting firm, has acquired Prophet One, a management and technology consulting firm focused on JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, NetSuite and related enterprise applications. The acquisition expands IT Convergence's ERP-focused consulting and managed-services capabilities and extends its reach into Prophet One's client base in Indianapolis and broader enterprise-ERP markets.

Apkudo has acquired Mobile reCell to strengthen its device lifecycle and enterprise take-back capabilities, integrating Mobile reCell as a new Enterprise Take-Back business unit. Mobile reCell's team (28 employees) and software-driven IT asset recovery platform will be folded into Apkudo's Circular Industry Platform; financial terms were not disclosed.

HITS Corporation, a St. Louis-based information technology services provider, has acquired Indianapolis-based 5i Solutions to expand its document management, scanning, and data migration capabilities and establish a presence in the Indianapolis market. The deal adds experienced staff and bolsters HITS' regional footprint following prior acquisitions in Virginia and Missouri.

Cincinnati-based managed IT services provider MIS Solutions has acquired CCR Technology Partners, a veteran-owned IT services firm based in Fishers, Indiana. The acquisition expands MIS Solutions' presence into the Indianapolis market and combines both companies' managed services and consulting capabilities to continue service for CCR's clients.

Studio Science, a design and innovation consultancy backed by Inoca Capital Partners, has acquired RevTech360, a MuleSoft- and Salesforce-focused digital transformation and CRM consulting firm based in Indianapolis. The acquisition bolsters Studio Science’s Salesforce Commerce Cloud and cross-cloud integration capabilities and adds certified architects and developers to its enterprise offerings.

The Purple Guys, a Kian Capital-backed managed IT services platform, has acquired Golden Tech, a Valparaiso, Indiana-based managed services provider. The add-on expands The Purple Guys' footprint and technical capabilities in Northwest Indiana and the greater Chicago area, adding Golden Tech's ~300 customers and experienced team.

The Purple Guys, a Kian Capital-backed managed IT services platform, acquired Accelerate, an Indianapolis-based managed services provider. The add-on expands The Purple Guys' footprint in the Central U.S. and brings Accelerate’s ~20-person team and capabilities in cloud services and cybersecurity into the platform.

AVI Systems acquired CIM Audio Visual / CCS Presentation Systems – Indiana in May 2022. The acquisition adds ~35 CIM employees to AVI and expands AVI’s audiovisual systems integration capabilities and presence in the education and corporate markets, particularly in Indiana.

Nomura Research Institute (NRI) has agreed to acquire Core BTS, a U.S.-based IT consulting and managed services provider, from Tailwind Capital's Fund III. The deal expands NRI's technology consulting, Microsoft and Cisco capabilities and scale in the United States; Core BTS CEO Paul Lidsky will remain with the company following the transaction.

BP3 Global, an Austin-based automation services provider, has acquired Agilify, an Indianapolis intelligent automation solutions firm. The acquisition brings Agilify's practitioner team and methodology into BP3 to expand BP3's intelligent automation capabilities and accelerate delivery of advisory, implementation, licensing, and training services to enterprise clients.

Evergreen Services Group has acquired managed IT services provider 4EOS and will tuck the MSP into NetGain Technologies as a tuck‑in add‑on. Financial terms were not disclosed.

BCM One, a TSCP-backed managed technology solutions provider, has acquired Indianapolis-based LincLogix, a regional reseller of data and voice managed solutions serving multi-site businesses in manufacturing, retail and healthcare. The acquisition expands BCM One's Midwest footprint (adding an Indianapolis office), will retain LincLogix's leadership and technical team, and was completed for undisclosed terms as an add-on to the TSCP-backed BCM One platform.

Avtex has acquired the contact center assets and Genesys customer portfolio of Communications Products, Inc. (CPI), an Indiana-based provider of contact center and communication solutions. The asset purchase expands Avtex’s contact center technical talent, geographic reach and client base and strengthens its capabilities around Genesys- and Microsoft-based CX solutions.

Cognizant has entered into an agreement to acquire Lev, an Indianapolis-based Salesforce Platinum digital marketing consultancy, from Inoca Capital Partners. The acquisition expands Cognizant's Salesforce and Marketing Cloud capabilities to help clients deliver personalized, data-driven marketing experiences; the deal was announced March 23, 2020 and was expected to close in Q1 2020 (terms not disclosed).

Diversified, a portfolio company of Tailwind Capital, acquired Indianapolis-based Sensory Technologies, an audio-visual integration and managed services firm. The add-on expands Diversified's Midwest and Northeast footprint and represents the company's 11th add-on since Tailwind acquired Diversified in 2015.

Corsica Technologies, a managed IT services platform backed by Inverness Graham Investments, has acquired Fort Wayne, Indiana-based Symplexity, a managed security, cloud, networking and technology consulting provider. The add-on expands Corsica's geographic footprint and capabilities — adding cybersecurity, managed security services and a Digital Transformation practice led by Symplexity CEO Brian Harmison. Terms were not disclosed.

Renovus Capital Partners has acquired a majority interest in Indianapolis-based KSM Consulting, a technology services and data analytics consultancy. Katz, Sapper & Miller will retain a significant minority stake and KSM Consulting's president Mark Caswell will become CEO as the firm expands its Indianapolis headquarters and hires additional staff to support accelerated growth.

Egis Capital Partners and ABS Capital Partners have acquired a majority interest in ClearObject, an IoT systems integrator headquartered in Fishers, Indiana. The investment will provide ClearObject with financial and strategic resources to accelerate growth, scale its cloud-based IoT solutions, and expand its global IoT leadership while the existing management team remains in place.

Data Strategy, a Grand Rapids-based IT solutions provider, has completed the acquisition of Network Storage Inc., an Indianapolis/Louisville IT solutions firm. The deal expands Data Strategy's regional footprint across the Midwest and combines the two companies' capabilities in data center technologies, security, cloud and managed services into a single organization of nearly 100 employees headquartered in Grand Rapids.
