IT Services Acquisitions in Maryland

System One has acquired Cypress Consulting, a Bethesda, Maryland-based technology consulting firm specializing in cloud architecture, data engineering, cybersecurity, and data center network engineering. The acquisition expands System One's data center and critical infrastructure capabilities in network engineering, automation, and security; terms were not disclosed.

Aretum has acquired Veterans Engineering, a Rockville, Maryland-based federal technology solutions provider, to strengthen Aretum's cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation offerings across defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies. The transaction was backed by Renovus Capital Partners and will have Veterans Engineering operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Aretum as part of the firm's continued platform growth and capability expansion.

Omega Systems, a managed IT and cybersecurity provider, has acquired PEAKE Technology Partners, a Bowie, Maryland-based healthcare managed services provider, to deepen its HIPAA compliance, EHR and clinical AI capabilities and expand its Mid-Atlantic healthcare footprint. The deal is Omega's first acquisition since partnering with Revelstoke Capital Partners in January 2025 and is intended as an add-on to accelerate healthcare-focused managed services growth.

Xcelerate Solutions, a portfolio company of McNally Capital, has acquired clearAvenue, a Columbia, Maryland-based provider of software development, AI/ML, big data analytics and cloud services for federal agencies. The acquisition expands Xcelerate's technical capabilities and the combined business will operate as Xcelerate Solutions, with the combined organization representing roughly 1,500 technology professionals.

Doceo, a York, Pennsylvania–based office technology provider, has acquired the copy and print division of Maryland-based Landis Office Center Inc. The deal expands Doceo's presence in Western and Central Maryland and broadens its local print and office-technology service capabilities for regional business customers.

Redhorse Corporation has acquired The Mannakee Group, a Kensington, Maryland-based provider of advanced software development and DevSecOps services for federal defense customers. The deal expands Redhorse's national security capabilities by combining Mannakee's software engineering and DevSecOps expertise with Redhorse's AI/ML and data exploitation capabilities; Mannakee's leadership will remain with the business as part of Redhorse's National Security portfolio.

Digital Capital Partners (DigiCap), a private investment firm led by Jay Sunny Bajaj, has acquired Govplace, a Bethesda-based provider of IT modernization, cybersecurity, and optimization services for federal agencies. Govplace's leadership team will remain in place as DigiCap positions the company for accelerated growth in the federal IT marketplace and expands its capabilities serving government customers.

Virtual Technologies Group (VTG), with strategic capital from Jacmel Partners and financing from Brightwood Capital Advisors, has acquired Quotient, Inc., a provider of systems integration, full‑stack software development, cybersecurity and related IT services to U.S. federal agencies. Quotient will operate as a subsidiary of VTG as the combined company expands VTG's government contracting capabilities and broadens its IT managed and professional services offering to a nationwide customer base.

Cedar Solutions Group, an Evergreen Services Group investment strategy, has acquired Omnyon, an Annapolis‑area IT services, data science and software engineering provider serving the national security and intelligence communities. Omnyon will continue to operate independently within Cedar's family of companies to accelerate its mission‑critical work and growth.

OceanSound Partners closed a $1.15 billion single-asset continuation fund transaction to extend its ownership and recapitalize SMX, with Apollo S3 as the lead investor in the new fund. OceanSound and SMX management rolled most of their equity and will remain significant investors; the continuation fund will provide incremental capital to support SMX's acquisition-driven growth and digital/military mission-support expansion.

Chicago-based private equity firm CIVC Partners has made a growth investment in Highstreet IT Solutions, a Rockville, Maryland-based Oracle implementation and managed services provider. Applied Insight LLC, a cloud and technology services portfolio company backed by The Acacia Group, has acquired Zavda Technologies LLC, a veteran- and woman-owned data services and technology firm. The add-on expands Applied Insight’s national security footprint and strengthens its analytics, software development, and systems engineering capabilities to better serve the intelligence community.

Intevity, a Boston-based digital technology consultancy, has acquired Techabo, a Baltimore-founded digital consulting agency specializing in e-commerce platforms and integrations. CenterGate Capital has acquired Cartridge Technologies, LLC (CTI), a Rockville, Maryland-based managed print services provider to U.S. federal government agencies, from Broadtree Partners. Terms were not disclosed; DC Advisory served as sell-side advisor to CTI while McGuireWoods and Holland & Knight provided legal representation. T-Rex Solutions has acquired Cyber Cloud Technologies, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business that provides cybersecurity, cloud, and enterprise IT services to the federal government and intelligence community. Enlightenment Capital, through its Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) fund, has made a growth investment in Red Alpha, a Columbia, Maryland-based software development and technology consulting firm serving the defense community and select commercial markets. Terms were not disclosed; the capital is intended to support Red Alpha’s growth and capability expansion in cybersecurity, cloud, and large-scale systems engineering work for government customers.

Bart & Associates (B&A) has acquired iDoxSolutions, Inc., a Bethesda-based IT and management consulting firm specializing in enterprise content/records management and data analytics. iDox will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of B&A, expanding B&A's IT capabilities across federal and state & local government markets; the deal is the first acquisition since B&A's partnership with Battle Investment Group in 2022.

Flex Technology Group (FTG), backed by Oval Partners, has acquired Advance Business Systems, a Baltimore-based office technology and solutions provider. The add-on deal brings Advance's team of over 130 professionals into FTG to expand its managed print, managed IT, document management, and production print capabilities in the Mid-Atlantic market.

BlueAlly Technology Solutions, a Source Capital portfolio company, has acquired n2grate Government Technology Solutions to expand its access to U.S. federal government customers and strengthen core vendor alliances. The deal brings n2grate’s federal-focused IT capabilities into BlueAlly’s national managed and professional services platform and the teams will begin immediate integration to deliver expanded cloud, infrastructure, security and managed services.

DLH Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: DLHC) acquired privately held Grove Resource Solutions, Inc. ("GRSi") of Bethesda, Maryland for $185.0 million to strengthen DLH's information technology and cybersecurity capabilities for federal customers. GRSi, a federal-focused IT, systems engineering and cybersecurity provider with ~700 employees, is expected to contribute approximately $140 million of annualized revenue and had a backlog of about $550 million at closing.

VTG has acquired Next Rev Technologies, LLC to expand its multi-cloud software development, digital transformation, and cyber capabilities while adding Next Rev's U.S. Intelligence Community customers. The acquisition enhances VTG's data science and advanced analytics depth and supports its strategy to build a mid-tier national security company.

Airiam, a managed IT and cybersecurity firm, has acquired Vantage Point Solutions Group, an MSP operating across Maryland, the DC metro area, Delaware and Virginia. The acquisition adds Vantage Point's 18 employees and regional offices to Airiam, extending Airiam's geographic footprint and enhancing its managed IT and cybersecurity offerings for small and midsize enterprises.

ICS, a ClearLight Partners-backed IT managed services provider, has acquired Cards Technology, a managed IT services firm headquartered in Ocean City, Maryland. The deal expands ICS's Mid‑Atlantic footprint and augments its managed IT, cybersecurity, and cloud capabilities for small- and medium-sized businesses.

Interlaced.io, a managed IT services provider, has acquired Grove Technologies, an Apple-focused and cybersecurity-oriented IT service firm serving the Washington, DC metro area. Grove will operate as a stand-alone brand with its founder Jon Brown and team remaining in place, while the deal expands Interlaced's Mac-focused and cybersecurity capabilities and strengthens its presence in the DC SMB market.

Godspeed Capital Management LP acquired Savli Group, Inc., a Maryland-based ServiceNow implementation and IT automation professional services firm, as the second add-on to its cyber and technology solutions platform for U.S. Defense and Intelligence customers. Savli — founded in 1996 and employing more than 20 cleared professionals — will join Godspeed's existing portfolio companies (Varen Technologies and Exceptional Software Strategies) to expand the platform's mission-focused ServiceNow and IT capabilities.

CompassMSP has acquired the assets of MRW Systems Inc., a Westminster, Maryland-based managed IT services firm. The team and location will be retained and MRW Systems will operate as MRW Systems: A CompassMSP Company, enhancing CompassMSP's coverage in the New York City–Washington, D.C. corridor.

An affiliate of OceanSound Partners has made a strategic growth investment in Digital Management Holdings, LLC (DMI). Founder and CEO Jay Sunny Bajaj will retain a significant ownership stake and DMI will continue to operate under existing management; Blackstone Credit and Goldman Sachs Asset Management provided committed financing. The investment is intended to support DMI's market expansion and capability growth; financial terms were not disclosed.

Chickasaw Nation Industries, a federally chartered, tribal-owned holding company, acquired DIGITALiBiz, Inc. (iBiz), a federal government IT and systems engineering contractor. The acquisition strengthens CNI’s federal government contracting capabilities by adding iBiz’s personnel, contracts (notably with the FAA and U.S. Navy), and systems engineering expertise.

Deep Labs, an AI technology company, has acquired Focus Government Services (FGS), a federal contractor that delivers analytics and AI solutions to civilian federal agencies. The acquisition strengthens Deep Labs' domain expertise in fraud, waste & abuse use cases and expands its public sector capabilities in healthcare and payments analytics.

Thrive, a NextGen managed services provider based in Foxborough, Massachusetts, has acquired Howard Tech Advisors, an IT managed services firm headquartered in Elkridge, Maryland. The deal expands Thrive’s Mid-Atlantic footprint and allows it to extend its ServiceNow, automation and AI-enabled NextGen technology platform to Howard Tech’s customers and staff.

OpenGate Capital, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, has acquired a majority interest in Aurotech, Inc., a Silver Spring, Maryland provider of digital services for U.S. federal healthcare and adjacent civilian agencies. Founder Hetal Patel remains as President and CEO and Aurotech will pursue growth and add-on acquisitions with OpenGate's operational support; terms were not disclosed.

Assurance Mezzanine Fund (Assurance) completed an investment in Visual Connections, LLC, a Windsor Mill/Columbia, Maryland-based IT and professional services provider. Assurance provided working capital and committed to finance future acquisitions to support Visual Connections' growth.

CCP Capital Strategies has acquired Executive Information Systems (EIS), a Bethesda-based company that provides outbound and inside sales, business development, contract management and back-office support to software developers and manufacturing partners selling to government customers. Five Points Capital provided unitranche debt financing and an equity co-investment to support the transaction; EIS holds a GSA Schedule and is a federal channel partner for SAS Institute.

Assurant (NYSE: AIZ) has acquired Fixt, an on-demand mobile device support and repair provider that operates a network of over 1,500 repair technicians. The acquisition integrates Fixt's on-site repair capabilities into Assurant's Dynamic Fulfilment platform to expand come-to-you repair options and strengthen Assurant's device lifecycle management services.

EverWatch, an Enlightenment Capital portfolio company, has acquired BrainTrust, an Annapolis Junction-based software and cloud engineering firm that provides software engineering, machine learning, systems engineering and cybersecurity services to U.S. intelligence and defense customers. BrainTrust will be merged into EverWatch's Columbia office, its founders will join EverWatch leadership, and Stellus Capital provided unitranche financing and an equity co-investment to support the transaction.

Computer Design & Integration LLC (CDI), a PE-backed IT infrastructure and managed services provider, has acquired Plan B Technologies, Inc., an Annapolis-based IT solutions and professional services firm. Backed by One Equity Partners, the acquisition is an add-on to CDI's growth strategy to expand service capabilities (notably virtualization and cloud/backup solutions) and extend sales reach across the eastern U.S.; financial terms were not disclosed.

Effectual, a cloud-first managed and professional services company, has acquired JHC Technology, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner focused on public sector managed cloud services. The transaction was enabled by a new investment from Catalyst Investors and a follow-on investment from Lumerity Capital to support Effectual’s acquisitions and growth initiatives.

Trinity Hunt Partners has acquired a majority stake in Dataprise, a Rockville, Maryland-based provider of IT managed services founded in 1995. Tyto Athene, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, acquired Island Information Technology Consultants, Inc. (IITC), a provider of unified communications and data visualization solutions to the U.S. Intelligence Community. The deal expands Tyto Athene's audiovisual and multimedia capabilities and supports a strategic shift toward recurring managed services and greater revenue visibility.

ATSG announced an asset acquisition of HighStreet Network Solutions (HNS), the managed services and infrastructure engineering division of HighStreet IT. The acquisition expands ATSG's regional and offshore delivery capabilities, strengthens its presence in the NY Tristate/Long Island marketplace and deepens capabilities across managed services, multicloud and Cisco partner offerings.
