IT Services Acquisitions in Ohio

Myriad360, a global systems integrator focused on cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and AI, has acquired Advizex Technologies to form an integrated enterprise platform with over $900 million in annual run-rate gross revenue. The deal expands Myriad360’s technical capabilities, geographic reach, and managed services scale, combining Advizex’s enterprise relationships and data/AI expertise with Myriad360’s infrastructure, networking, and security strengths. Terms were not disclosed.

An affiliate of Gemspring Capital Management has acquired TRG, a Cleveland-area provider of enterprise mobility lifecycle management and integrated cybersecurity solutions. TRG founder and CEO Sean Kennedy, the Kennedy family, and the existing management team retain a significant ownership stake; Gemspring said it will provide capital and operational resources to support continued growth and strategic acquisitions.

Guide Technologies, an Indianapolis-based provider of Infor ERP and supply chain solutions, has acquired Agility, a Cleveland-area consultancy specializing in manufacturing systems, logistics solutions and Infor XA services. The deal expands Guide's manufacturing software and managed-services capabilities and will integrate Agility’s product modules and services to accelerate Guide’s growth and go-to-market scale.

3LS, Inc., an employee-owned family of companies based in Nashville, acquired Cincinnati-based managed service provider Intrust IT and will fold the business into its 3LS Professional Services division. The deal expands 3LS's IT capabilities — particularly in managed services, cybersecurity, cloud computing and AI — and makes Intrust 100% employee-owned while positioning the combined business to scale its services nationally.

Thrive, a NextGen technology outsourcing provider, has acquired VitalCORE, a managed technology partner offering managed security, technology valuations, transactional advisory, and managed IT services. The deal expands Thrive’s presence in the U.S. Midwest and broadens its cybersecurity and managed services capabilities as part of the company’s ongoing acquisition strategy.

Valeo Networks, an AI-enabled Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) headquartered in Rockledge, Florida, has acquired SpliceNet Consulting, a Cincinnati-based Managed Service Provider (MSP). The acquisition establishes Valeo's first presence in Ohio and brings SpliceNet's managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, and legal-sector expertise into Valeo's platform; financial terms were not disclosed.

Seroda Ventures made a strategic majority investment in Evonence and will merge the company with its Seroda‑incubated Google Cloud integrator, Cloudnyx.ai. The combined business will operate under the Cloudnyx.ai brand with Vijay Shah as CEO and will offer end‑to‑end Google Cloud services—scaling capabilities in BigQuery, Vertex AI, Workspace/Gemini, Apigee and managed services.

Seroda Ventures has made a strategic majority investment in Google Cloud consulting firm Evonence and merged it with Seroda-incubated integrator Cloudnyx.ai. The combined business will operate under the Cloudnyx.ai brand, with Evonence founder Vijay Shah named CEO, to expand capabilities across Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Workspace, Apigee and managed cloud services.

Vitis Technologies, the IT arm of Prosource based in Blue Ash, Ohio, has acquired Conexio, a managed services provider located in Mt. Adams, Cincinnati, Ohio. The acquisition brings 21 employees and new clients into Vitis, expanding its managed services capabilities and presence across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Intrust IT, an employee-owned managed services provider based in Cincinnati, completed the acquisition of the IT support division of Entegrity Consulting Group of Dayton, Ohio effective January 1, 2025. The deal expands Intrust IT's footprint in the Cincinnati and Dayton regions and brings Entegrity’s clients and longtime employee Ben Schubert into Intrust’s portfolio to strengthen its managed IT, cybersecurity, and cloud service offerings.

VTG, a Chantilly, Virginia-based national security solutions provider, has acquired Dayton, Ohio-based Vana Solutions to expand its digital transformation, cloud, and data analytics capabilities for defense and intelligence customers. The deal is an add-on to VTG (which is PE-backed by A&M Capital Partners) and is intended to bolster VTG’s presence with U.S. Air Force programs and the Intelligence Community.

Court Square Capital Partners has made a strategic growth investment in Velosio, a Dublin, Ohio–based provider of Microsoft-focused cloud services, managed services, and digital transformation solutions. The partnership will support Velosio's continued expansion of its cloud and data capabilities, organic and inorganic growth, and broader industry footprint across North America and India.

TowerBrook Capital Partners has agreed to acquire CBTS, a Cincinnati-based provider of IT services and solutions, from parent company altafiber. The deal will provide CBTS with investment capital to accelerate growth, expand its service portfolio and market coverage, and allow altafiber to focus on its fiber network infrastructure business.

CCS (Custom Computer Specialists) announced the acquisition of Net Activity, Inc., a Midwest-based technology services provider. The deal expands CCS’s cloud, communications/collaboration, security, consulting, and managed services capabilities while strengthening its geographic presence in the Midwest.

Panther Equity Group, alongside Corbel Capital Partners, has completed an investment in Switchbox, Inc., a Columbus, Ohio-based software development and digital IT transformation firm. Founder and CEO Joel Stephens remains a co-owner and will continue to lead the company as the investors provide growth capital and operational support to expand Switchbox's service offerings.

Nicus Software, a provider of enterprise IT Financial Management (ITFM) and Technology Business Management (TBM) software, has acquired Proven FM, an IT finance consulting firm, to expand its consulting and managed-services capabilities. As part of the deal, Proven FM founding partner Craig Hollenbeck becomes Senior VP of ITFM Strategy and Bryan Morland becomes Senior VP of Professional Services, and Nicus will offer expanded ITFM/TBM services including managed ITFM/TBM, strategy, and data management.

VC3, a Columbia, South Carolina-based managed service provider, has acquired GO Concepts, a Lebanon, Ohio-based provider of managed IT, cybersecurity, business continuity, and cloud services. The acquisition expands VC3's Midwestern footprint and strengthens its capabilities serving government, financial services, and other commercial clients.

Iron Mountain completed the acquisition of Regency Technologies, a U.S. IT asset disposition (ITAD) and electronics recycling provider, for an initial purchase price of $200 million (approximately $125 million at close, remainder due in 2025) plus a potential performance-based earn-out. The deal expands Iron Mountain’s asset lifecycle management platform with eight additional U.S. locations and strengthens its IT asset remarketing and recycling capabilities, adding a business with trailing four-quarter revenues in excess of $100 million.

Closed Loop Partners, via its Closed Loop Leadership Fund, has acquired a majority stake in Sage Sustainable Electronics, a Columbus, Ohio–based IT asset disposition (ITAD) provider. The investment will provide Sage with capital and access to Closed Loop's circular-economy ecosystem to accelerate growth, expand reuse-and-recovery services, and strengthen its position in North America.

Isos Technology has acquired the Atlassian practice of Stack Intelligence to deepen its IT Service Management (ITSM) and Atlassian migration capabilities. The deal advances Isos’s Atlassian growth strategy backed by investor Acacia and increases Isos’s pool of Atlassian-accredited specialists to over 170.

Stratix Corporation has acquired managed mobility services provider Vox Mobile to expand its service capabilities, add telecom expense management and automation tools, and extend geographic coverage into Ohio and Canada. The deal will integrate Vox's endpoint management, help desk and Encompass TEM platform into Stratix's portfolio, enabling 24x7x365 support and expanded cross-border resources.

IP Pathways has acquired Sophisticated Systems Inc (SSI) and opened a new office in Columbus, Ohio. The acquisition brings SSI’s local technology services and leadership into IP Pathways’ Midwest IT services platform as the firm expands its geographic footprint and service capacity in the Columbus market.

Bluewave Technology Group, a Parsippany, New Jersey-based technology advisory and lifecycle management firm, has acquired Compass Solutions, an IT and telecom advisory agency headquartered in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The acquisition expands Bluewave's technology advisory and multi-location retail capabilities and brings the Compass team and founder Marty Lyman into Bluewave as an Ambassador and equity partner.

IT Voice, an IT services platform backed by Baymark Partners, acquired The Jaekle Group, a managed IT services provider based in Macedonia, Ohio; the transaction closed on November 1, 2022. Generational Equity advised The Jaekle Group on the sale, which Baymark/IT Voice described as a strategic tuck‑in to expand managed services capabilities and regional presence.

UPSTACK, a New York–based digital infrastructure advisory platform, has acquired NPG Solutions, an independent technology and communications solutions advisor headquartered in New Albany, Ohio. The deal—UPSTACK's 25th partner investment—adds NPG's network, data center, cloud and security advisory capabilities and its proprietary SmartSpendIT supplier management tool to UPSTACK's platform; terms were not disclosed.

Service Express, a Grand Rapids–based data center solutions provider, acquired Sherlock Services, a third-party data center maintenance and hardware solutions provider based in Ohio. The acquisition expands Service Express' third‑party maintenance capabilities and brings Sherlock's US‑based Level 2/Level 3 engineering team and OEM expertise into Service Express' broader data center and managed infrastructure offerings.

Jacmel Growth Partners has made a minority growth investment in Virtual Technologies Group (VTG), a Maumee, Ohio–based IT, security, and cloud services provider. The capital will support VTG's growth strategy and expand its service capabilities (including its Comm-Core cloud division); KeyBank provided financing and Woodbridge International served as sell-side advisor.

Tailwind Capital has partnered with Onix Networking Corporation in a transaction to support Onix's next phase of growth and build a leading Google Cloud partner. The investment will fund expansion of Onix's advanced services (including consulting, application development, data & analytics and managed services) and enable a strategy of scaling globally and pursuing add-on acquisitions.

Logically, a national managed service provider based in Portland, Maine, has acquired Cornerstone IT, a full-service IT managed services provider headquartered in Mentor, Ohio. The acquisition adds cybersecurity, data backup/recovery, cloud and Microsoft Gold Cloud Partner capabilities to Logically and expands its footprint in the U.S.

Datapath, a Modesto-based managed IT services provider, has acquired MobileTek Services, an Ohio-based MSP specializing in K-12 education IT and managed security. The acquisition expands Datapath’s footprint and capabilities in the education market and strengthens its managed security offerings for school districts.

Prosource, a Cincinnati-based business technology solutions provider, has acquired PBSI Technology Solutions of Springdale, Ohio. The acquisition adds PBSI's voice, data, structured cabling, security and audio/video capabilities and employees to Prosource's managed IT business, enhancing Prosource's technical expertise and service offerings in the Midwest.

Data Network Services, a Virginia-based managed service provider backed by Cloud Equity Group, has acquired Datacom Specialists, an Ohio-based managed service provider serving small- and medium-sized businesses. The deal is DNS’s first add-on since CEG’s December 2020 investment and is intended to expand DNS’s service offerings and client footprint; financial terms were not disclosed.

Aunalytics, Inc. has acquired NetGain Information Systems, a Central Ohio provider of cloud and managed IT services. NetGain becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aunalytics, with NetGain CEO Michael Minnich and President/COO Kelly Jones joining as shareholders; financial terms were not disclosed and JFS Partners served as NetGain's sell‑side advisor.

Involta has acquired the assets and employees of SecureData 365, adding the Canton, Ohio data center and team to its national hybrid IT and data center services portfolio. The deal expands Involta’s geographic footprint in northeast Ohio and enhances its ability to deliver colocation, managed services and hybrid cloud solutions to enterprise customers.

GlideFast Consulting has acquired CloudPires, an Elite ServiceNow partner based in Cincinnati, Ohio, adding over 50 employees and leadership to its team. The acquisition positions GlideFast as the largest partner exclusively dedicated to ServiceNow and expands its delivery and professional services capabilities.

Oak Lane Partners, a private investment firm, has made a strategic/platform investment to acquire thomastech, a Medina, Ohio–based provider of data center lifecycle solutions, third-party maintenance, and global parts distribution. Oak Lane said it selected thomastech as a platform investment to support organic and inorganic growth and expand the company's service capabilities.

WD Capital Holdings, a search fund founded by Ross Butler, has acquired BPI Information Systems, a Cleveland-area IT managed services provider. The transaction, facilitated by IT ExchangeNet, represents a founder succession as BPI president Gary Ellis handed over control after 35 years building the business.

Evergreen Services Group, a holding company backed by Alpine Investors, has acquired two managed IT providers: Arnet Technologies (Columbus, Ohio) and LK TECH (Cincinnati, Ohio). Terms were not disclosed; the acquisitions expand Evergreen's portfolio of managed IT, cloud and cybersecurity services while allowing the acquired businesses to retain their leadership teams.

NuMSP, a national managed service provider, acquired K-Tech Solutions, a Columbus-area MSP that serves small and mid-sized businesses across sectors including healthcare, veterinary, insurance, accounting and law. The deal — NuMSP's 15th acquisition — expands the buyer’s footprint in Ohio and adds K-Tech’s IT and cybersecurity capabilities to NuMSP’s nationwide platform.

CGI acquired the Professional Services Division of Harris, Mackessy & Brennan, Inc. (HMB), a transaction that closed on December 31, 2020. The division brings approximately 165 consultants and expanded consulting capabilities and client relationships—notably in the utilities market and with the State of Ohio—strengthening CGI's footprint in Central Ohio and the Columbus metro.

KSM Consulting, a Renovus Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired Advocate Solutions, a 25-year-old IT services firm that provides mission-critical program and project management to state and local government agencies. The add-on expands KSM's geographic footprint (adding offices in Columbus, OH and Lansing, MI) and strengthens its public-sector program, project and digital service capabilities.

Medicus IT, a healthcare-focused managed services provider based in Alpharetta, Georgia, has acquired Nexus Practice IT Services, a Columbus, Ohio-based healthcare managed IT provider. The acquisition expands Medicus IT's national footprint into Ohio and broadens its service offerings for healthcare clients across the Midwest.

Boston-based Charlesbank Capital Partners is acquiring WestView Capital Partners' minority stake in Park Place Technologies in a transaction that will occur alongside a recapitalization led by GTCR. The deal provides WestView liquidity while positioning Park Place—an Ohio-headquartered third-party maintenance provider with ~1,200 employees—for continued growth under GTCR and Charlesbank; terms were not disclosed.

Avaap, an NMS Capital portfolio company, has acquired Navigator Management Partners, a Columbus-based cross-platform IT and management consulting firm specializing in ERP, business intelligence, and change management. The deal expands Avaap's cross-platform capabilities (adding Workday, Oracle, SAP, Tableau, Cloudera, Alteryx, Snowflake expertise) and positions the combined organization to serve more customers across healthcare, retail, higher education and other industries; Navigator's management will remain equityholders in the combined company.
