Legal Services Acquisitions in Virginia

Counsel Press Inc., the nation’s largest provider of appellate and litigation support services and a platform backed by Align Capital Partners, has acquired Richmond-based Gibson Moore to expand its Mid-Atlantic appellate footprint. The deal is an add-on acquisition that strengthens Counsel Press’s presence in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland and marks the company’s eighth add-on since ACP partnered with Counsel Press in 2023.

KLDiscovery Inc., through its subsidiary KLDiscovery Ontrack, LLC, has acquired Richmond-based Superior Document Services, Inc. (SDS), a full-service eDiscovery and litigation support provider. The acquisition expands KLDiscovery's local service capabilities in Virginia and integrates SDS's team and clients into KLD's global eDiscovery, information governance and data recovery platform.
