Acquisitions in Nebraska in 2019

Bloom Intelligence, a St. Petersburg-based provider of omni-channel WiFi marketing and customer intelligence solutions, has acquired Gazella WiFi, an Omaha-based white-label WiFi marketing and analytics platform for digital agencies. The acquisition expands Bloom Intelligence's WiFi marketing capabilities and global reach; financial terms were not disclosed.

USI Insurance Services has acquired Omaha, Nebraska-based Marcotte Insurance Agency, Inc., a multi-line insurance agency specializing in employee benefits, retirement and risk management advisory services. The deal (terms undisclosed) brings Marcotte’s 48 employees into USI and establishes a new USI presence in Nebraska while maintaining Marcotte’s local leadership under President David Bushey.

Hub International Limited has acquired SilverStone Group, a Omaha-based insurance brokerage and the largest brokerage in Nebraska. The acquisition creates a new regional unit, Hub Great Plains, expanding Hub's geographic footprint and adding SilverStone's capabilities in insurance, surety, employee benefits, retirement plans, and wealth management.

Siemens has acquired MultiMechanics, the developer of the MultiMech materials modeling and simulation software, from investors including Anzu Partners (and fellow investor Solvay). MultiMechanics will be integrated into Siemens Digital Industries Software and incorporated into the Simcenter offering within Siemens' Xcelerator portfolio to add materials-engineering and digital-twin capabilities.

InTandem Capital Partners completed a growth equity investment to combine Nebraska Oral and Facial Surgery, Omaha Oral Surgery and Advanced Oral Surgery, forming a platform of oral and maxillofacial surgery practices with locations in Nebraska and Minnesota. The investment will provide strategic, acquisition and operating support to accelerate growth and geographic expansion of the combined practice group.

The Athletic Club, in partnership with TruFit Athletic Clubs, has acquired Prairie Life Fitness, a nine-club operator founded in 1985 with locations across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Tennessee. Bridgepoint Investment Banking served as sell-side advisor; a publicly traded REIT separately purchased the real estate of six clubs in a sale-leaseback financing.

Kyocera Corporation acquired SouthernCarlson, a leading distributor of fastening and packaging products and supplies, from Kelso Fund IX, closing on June 3, 2019. SouthernCarlson operates 150+ branch locations and 22 distribution centers across North America, providing Kyocera with an expanded distribution footprint in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Green House Data, a managed cloud and data center services provider, has acquired Deliveron, an agile-focused DevOps development firm based in Omaha, Nebraska. The acquisition adds Deliveron's DevOps, Azure refactoring, and analytics-driven software development capabilities to Green House Data's cloud modernization and managed services offerings to better serve enterprise and mid-market clients.

CareDx, Inc. agreed to acquire OTTR Complete Transplant Management, a provider of organ transplant patient-tracking software used by transplant centers in the US and Canada. The strategic acquisition (approximately $16.0 million) will integrate OTTR's EMR-integrated transplant management tools with CareDx's transplant diagnostics to streamline ordering and patient surveillance.

TFI International, a publicly traded North American transportation and logistics company, acquired Aulick Leasing Corp. and ShirAul, LLC from the Aulick family. The deal adds Aulick’s contract-hauling fleet and ShirAul’s BulletTM trailer manufacturing capabilities, expanding TFI’s asset base and presence across the Central and Western United States.
