Acquisitions in New Hampshire in 2024

Valsoft Corporation has acquired Pinpoint Global Communications, a Nashua-based provider of learning management, compliance, and Medicare solutions for wealth management and health insurance organizations. The acquisition gives Valsoft its first training and compliance software offering and is intended to strengthen Pinpoint’s U.S. presence while enabling global expansion through Valsoft’s platform.

Modern America Campgrounds, the largest RV park owner in the Northeast, acquired Winding River Campground in Exeter, New Hampshire. The purchase expands Modern America Campgrounds' portfolio as part of an aggressive growth plan (29 park acquisitions in 24 months) and supports new guest programs such as the Freedom Trail Pass and an upcoming Loyalty Rewards Program.

Worklyn Partners, a holding company focused on cybersecurity and IT services, has acquired Salem, New Hampshire-based IT Management Solutions (ITMS). The add-on expands Worklyn's New England footprint and capabilities in managed IT, cloud services, and cybersecurity as part of its integrated platform of IT and security vendors.

ACA Group has acquired FINOP Consulting, LLC, an outsourced financial operations (FinOp) firm for broker-dealers led by Dan Beaton. The acquisition enhances ACA's FinOps capabilities and integrates FINOP Consulting's services into ACA Signature to better serve broker-dealer clients under FINRA and SEC standards; financial terms were not disclosed.

Hale Capital Partners, a New York-based growth private equity firm, led a cooperative recapitalization to acquire a majority stake in Athenium, a Dover, New Hampshire provider of risk and quality management software. The investment brings in Jim Greenwell as CEO and will support product development, AI/analytics capabilities and expansion into new verticals including insurance, financial services and government.

Risk Strategies, a national specialty insurance brokerage, has acquired George W. Blaisdell Insurance, an employee-benefits-focused agency based in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire. The deal expands Risk Strategies’ Employee Benefits practice and strengthens its presence and capabilities in the New England region; terms were not disclosed.

MJH Life Sciences has acquired the EnVision Summit, a certified continuing medical education (CME) conference for ophthalmologists held annually in Puerto Rico. The summit will be integrated into MJH's Physicians' Education Resource portfolio and supported by MJH's eye care brands to expand its ophthalmology education offerings.

F.L.Putnam Investment Management Company has completed the acquisition of Darwin Trust Company of New Hampshire, LLC, a New Hampshire‑chartered trust company. The Darwin business will retain its name and leadership under Melissa Sommer, with Massachusetts-based Darwin employees relocating to F.L.Putnam's Lynnfield headquarters while Darwin's New Hampshire staff remain in Nashua.

Jabil Inc. completed the acquisition of Mikros Technologies LLC on October 1 to add microchannel liquid cooling and thermal-management engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The deal expands Jabil’s portfolio for AI data centers, semiconductor test equipment, energy storage and electric-vehicle applications by integrating Mikros’s proprietary liquid-cold-plate technologies.

Affiliates of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited agreed to acquire all equity interests in Peak Achievement Athletics Inc. from Sagard Holdings Inc., giving Fairfax control of Peak and its brands including Bauer Hockey, Cascade Lacrosse and Maverik Lacrosse. The transaction was announced in September 2024 and was completed in December 2024; Fairfax said it will provide long-term support to grow Peak's portfolio.

Vapotherm, Inc. has closed a merger with a newly-formed entity organized and funded by an affiliate of Perceptive Advisors, with Perceptive investing $50.0 million of preferred equity and investment affiliates managed by SLR Capital Partners converting approximately $83.0 million of term debt into preferred equity (while retaining $40.0 million of term debt). As a result of the transaction Vapotherm’s common stock trading has been suspended on OTCQX and the company has requested delisting, reflecting a take-private recapitalization to restructure the balance sheet and provide new preferred equity financing.

LawnPRO Partners, a residential lawn-care platform backed by HCI Equity Partners, has acquired Highest Quality Lawn & Pest, a Manchester, New Hampshire-based provider of lawn treatment, tree/shrub and pest control services. The deal — LawnPRO's seventh acquisition — expands the platform into New Hampshire and continues HCI's buildout of the LawnPRO regional platform; financial terms were not disclosed and the founder Matthew Scott will remain running day-to-day operations.

Recognize, a private equity firm focused on digital and technology services, has made a majority investment in Blue Mantis, a Portsmouth, New Hampshire-based IT services provider specializing in managed services, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions. Abry Partners, which had backed Blue Mantis since 2020, will remain a minority investor as Recognize and management pursue growth, capability expansion, and M&A to scale the business.

MB2 Dental, a Charlesbank-backed dental partnership organization, has acquired Montshire Endodontics, a two-location endodontic practice based in Lebanon, New Hampshire and Barre, Vermont. TUSK Practice Sales advised Montshire Endodontics on the transaction, which expands MB2 Dental's partner network into Vermont and the New England region.

Avionté, a Bloomington, Minnesota-based provider of enterprise staffing software, has acquired AkkenCloud, a Nashua, New Hampshire staffing software company. The deal expands Avionté’s end-to-end staffing platform capabilities and brings AkkenCloud customers and employees into Avionté’s ecosystem; terms were not disclosed.

ECI Software Solutions has acquired ProfitKey International LLC, a provider of ERP software for discrete manufacturers, to expand its manufacturing software portfolio. ProfitKey's team and ERP platform will join ECI’s Manufacturing division; financial terms were not disclosed.

Paw Prosper, a pet health and wellness platform based in Denver, has acquired Walkin' Pets, a longtime provider of pet wheelchairs and mobility support products based in Amherst, New Hampshire. The acquisition expands Paw Prosper's portfolio of mobility and recovery solutions, aiming to broaden its reach to pet owners, veterinary providers and animal welfare organizations while maintaining uninterrupted service for existing customers.

ITT Inc. agreed to acquire kSARIA, a mission-critical connectivity and cable-assembly manufacturer serving aerospace and defense, from Behrman Capital for approximately $475 million. The deal, announced August 1, 2024 and completed in September 2024, expands ITT's Connect & Control Technologies capabilities by adding engineered fiber-optic and electrical interconnect products and roughly 1,000 employees across six North American sites.

Great River Capital Partners has acquired Micro-Precision Technologies, Inc. (MPT), a Salem, New Hampshire-based manufacturer of high-reliability microelectronics for harsh and defense-critical environments. The deal, facilitated by Benchmark International, positions Great River to expand capabilities in industrial technology and high-reliability electronics and pursue organic growth and potential strategic add-ons.

Insurcomm, a Portsmouth, New Hampshire-based disaster restoration and construction services provider, has acquired Soil-Away Restoration Services of Hooksett, New Hampshire. The acquisition expands Insurcomm's restoration capabilities (water, fire, mold) and regional reach across New England by integrating Soil-Away's experienced team and restoration technology.

SiteOne Landscape Supply has acquired Millican Nurseries, LLC, a one-location wholesale nursery products distributor based in Chichester, New Hampshire. The acquisition expands SiteOne's full-product-line offering in the greater Boston and New England markets and brings Millican's team and local customer relationships into the SiteOne platform.

PDQ has acquired CODA Intelligence and launched PDQ Detect, a vulnerability scanning and management solution that integrates CODA's threat-detection capabilities into PDQ's IT asset management suite. The acquisition expands PDQ's product capabilities to include prioritized vulnerability discovery and remediation for MSPs and IT/security teams.

Crowe LLP has entered into an agreement to bring ITR Economics and its team into Crowe as a subsidiary. Ingersoll Rand Inc. has closed two acquisitions: Controlled Fluidics, a U.S.-based thermoplastic bonding and custom plastic assembly specialist serving life sciences and other high-growth end markets, and Ethafilter s.r.l., an Italy-based producer of filters and filter elements for the compressed air sector. The deals expand Ingersoll Rand's product portfolio and aftermarket capabilities, strengthening its position in life sciences, sterile filtration, and air treatment markets.

Riddell has acquired Simbex, a product design and development firm with deep expertise in sports, medical, and health technologies, cementing a long-standing partnership to accelerate Riddell’s smart helmet and athlete-monitoring technology roadmap. The acquisition brings Simbex’s engineering, AI/analytics, and commercialization capabilities in-house to enhance next-generation head protection, performance monitoring, and medical-device development.

World Insurance Associates LLC acquired the business of John J. Flynn Insurance Agency of Dover, New Hampshire on April 1, 2024; terms were not disclosed. The deal expands World’s local presence in New Hampshire and enables John J. Flynn to offer additional products and services to its personal and commercial customers.

Velonex Technologies, a San Antonio-based IT services and cybersecurity provider, has acquired Morse Technologies, an IT service and consulting firm headquartered in Salem, New Hampshire. The acquisition expands Velonex’s footprint and service capabilities in the New England region; Morse’s founder and leadership team will remain with the business following the transaction.

Navis Food Partners announced that Prime Source Foods, a center-of-the-plate food distributor based in Londonderry, New Hampshire, has joined the Navis platform. The deal strengthens Navis' protein-category capabilities and expands its geographic footprint across New England and upstate New York; Frontenac, a Chicago-based private equity firm, is associated with the Navis platform.

Valley Equipment Ltd, a long-standing Canadian Utility dealer, has acquired Utility Trailers of New England, LLC, adding two locations in Seabrook, New Hampshire and North Oxford (Boston), Massachusetts to its network. The acquisition expands Valley Equipment's dealer and service footprint into the Northeastern United States and strengthens support for Utility Trailer and Cargobull North America products in the region.

Summit Partners has made a majority growth equity investment in Insurcomm, a Portsmouth, New Hampshire–based provider of commercial and residential property restoration services. The capital will support Insurcomm's national expansion, scaling of operations and team, and a buy-and-build strategy to acquire other restoration providers.

Whitsons Culinary Group, a portfolio company of GenNx360 Capital Partners, has acquired Fresh Picks Café LLC, a Manchester, New Hampshire-based provider of outsourced food service management to more than 50 K-12 schools and summer camp locations. The acquisition expands Whitsons' presence in the New England market; Fresh Picks' regional leadership team will remain in place as part of Whitsons.

Specialty Program Group LLC (SPG), a Chicago-based specialty insurance platform, has acquired the assets of Buttine Underwriters Agency LLC (BUA), a New Hampshire-based managing general agency specializing in event cancellation and prize & promotion insurance. The acquisition is an add-on to SPG’s portfolio aimed at expanding its sports and entertainment vertical, product capabilities and distribution reach.

Hub International Limited has acquired the assets of Ronald (Ron) Morin, Jr., d/b/a Morin Insurance Agency, an independent insurance agency based in Alton Bay, New Hampshire. The Morin principals and team will join Hub New England to expand Hub's commercial and personal insurance presence and capabilities across New Hampshire and Northern New England; terms were not disclosed.

Safelite Group has acquired the auto glass assets of New Hampshire-based Thompson Auto Glass, a three-location operator with sites in Windham, New Hampshire; Brockton, Massachusetts; and Rocky Hill, Connecticut. The acquisition (closed January 5) expands Safelite’s New England footprint and gives Thompson access to Safelite’s operational systems, ADAS recalibration expertise, distribution network, and insurer/commercial relationships.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (Gallagher) has acquired The Rowley Agency, LLC, a Concord, New Hampshire-based retail insurance broker. The acquisition expands Gallagher's retail property/casualty and employee benefits capabilities and strengthens its presence in New England, particularly across New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts.

World Insurance Associates LLC acquired the business of Foy Insurance Group of Exeter, New Hampshire on December 1, 2023. Foy is a century-old New England insurance agency with offices in three states offering personal and commercial insurance and specialty programs; terms were not disclosed.
