Agriculture Acquisitions in New York

Biobest Group has completed its acquisition of BioWorks, Inc., a Victor, New York-based manufacturer and marketer of biopesticides. The deal expands Biobest's biopesticide portfolio and establishes BioWorks' Victor facility as the group's North American manufacturing and marketing hub for biopesticides.

SiteOne Landscape Supply (NYSE: SITE) completed the acquisition of Preferred Seed, a single-location wholesale distributor of seed and agronomics products serving the Buffalo, Rochester and Erie markets. The deal expands SiteOne's footprint in upstate New York and adds local seed and agronomics capabilities to its landscape supply distribution network.

Virtual Medical International, Inc. (OTC: QEBR) agreed to acquire Cherry Valley Growers, Inc., an industrial hemp cultivator and processor, along with Adler Properties, LLC (including an 11,560 sq ft warehouse) for $2.0 million in cash. The deal gives Virtual Medical expanded hemp cultivation acreage, processing/extraction capabilities and associated New York state hemp licenses to support its vertically integrated CBD/wellness strategy.
