Agriculture Acquisitions in Virginia

Incline Equity Partners has partnered with W.S. Connelly, a Richmond-area value-added distributor of agronomic consumables serving lawn care, landscape and golf customers. Incline will support WSC in broadening product lines, accelerating proprietary brand development and pursuing strategic M&A and greenfield expansion to increase market density and geographic reach.

Costa Farms, the Miami-based wholesale grower, acquired Battlefield Farms, a 40-year-old grower of annuals and perennials in Rapidan, Virginia, expanding Costa's production footprint and assortment. The deal brings Battlefield's 45 acres of greenhouse and 20 acres of outdoor production into Costa's network, strengthening its supply to national retailers and regional customers.

Darling Ingredients (NYSE: DAR) completed the acquisition of Valley Proteins for approximately $1.1 billion, adding 18 rendering plants and used cooking oil facilities across the southern, southeast and mid-Atlantic U.S. The deal expands Darling’s rendering and low‑carbon feedstock capabilities to support renewable diesel and animal-ingredient production.
