Automotive Acquisitions in Connecticut

Keeler Motor Car Company, in partnership with Open Road Capital, acquired three dealerships — Lexus of Westport, Toyota of Westport and Audi Hawthorne — from New Country Motor Car Group. Haig Partners served as exclusive advisor to New Country on the sale as New Country repositions capital into other markets.

Recochem has completed the acquisition of Torque Detail, a digitally native brand of automotive detailing products. Torque will continue to operate under its brand as part of Recochem's Car Care division and will leverage Recochem's product development, manufacturing, digital marketing, and distribution capabilities to support Recochem's expansion into the U.S. branded car care market.

Dobbs Equity Partners, through its holding Dobbs Family Automotive, acquired Papa's Dodge, Inc. (dba Papa's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram) in a transaction that closed on November 5, 2021. The acquisition adds the New Britain, Connecticut dealership to Dobbs' portfolio of franchise automobile dealerships as an add-on to its existing platform.

Center Subaru, a full-service Subaru dealership in Torrington, Connecticut, was acquired by GMST, LLC (doing business as Gengras Motors). Heritage Capital Group acted as exclusive financial advisor to the seller; the transaction represents an owner exit by long-time owner Phil Porter and expands Gengras Motors' footprint in Connecticut.
