Morningstar completed its previously announced $365 million acquisition of the Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) from the University of Chicago. The deal brings CRSP Market Indexes (benchmarks for over $3 trillion in U.S. equities) and CRSP Research Data Products into the Morningstar Indexes business, with the CRSP indexes rebranded under the Morningstar name.
The Hackett Group (NASDAQ: HCKT) has completed its acquisition of Spend Matters, a procurement and supply chain market intelligence firm. The deal brings Spend Matters’ platforms (including TechMatch and SolutionMap) and research capabilities into The Hackett Group’s advisory practice to deepen procurement and supply chain technology expertise and expand market intelligence offerings.
Inveniam Capital Partners has acquired Chicago-based Tractiv, a secure data sharing and immutable-ledger technology provider led by Drew Orsinger. The acquisition will integrate Tractiv’s secure file delivery and ledger-based access controls into Inveniam’s data operations platform to strengthen data provenance, regulatory readiness, and AI-ready infrastructure across finance, media, and other enterprise verticals.
Lovelytics and Nousot have merged, with the unified firm operating under the Lovelytics name to create a 500-person Databricks-focused consulting firm.
