Morningstar, Inc. completed its $365 million acquisition of the Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) from the University of Chicago, adding CRSP Market Indexes and historical research data to Morningstar Indexes. The deal expands Morningstar's index and data capabilities—bringing benchmarks tied to more than $3 trillion in U.S. equities—and preserves a continued relationship with Vanguard to use the CRSP indexes for several Vanguard funds.

The Hackett Group (NASDAQ: HCKT) has completed its acquisition of Spend Matters, a procurement and supply chain market intelligence firm. The deal brings Spend Matters’ platforms (including TechMatch and SolutionMap) and research capabilities into The Hackett Group’s advisory practice to deepen procurement and supply chain technology expertise and expand market intelligence offerings.

Inveniam Capital Partners has acquired Chicago-based Tractiv, a secure data sharing and immutable-ledger technology provider led by Drew Orsinger. The acquisition will integrate Tractiv’s secure file delivery and ledger-based access controls into Inveniam’s data operations platform to strengthen data provenance, regulatory readiness, and AI-ready infrastructure across finance, media, and other enterprise verticals.

Lovelytics and Nousot have merged, with the unified firm operating under the Lovelytics name to create a 500-person Databricks-focused consulting firm. The combined company expands Lovelytics' Databricks capabilities, proprietary IP and scale to better support large enterprises on complex data and AI initiatives.

Kardigan has acquired Prolaio, a Chicago-based clinical intelligence company, to integrate Prolaio's cardiovascular data, FDA-cleared monitoring software, and analytics into Kardigan's cardiac R&D platform. The acquisition gives Kardigan access to a large curated CV dataset and analytics capabilities intended to accelerate and optimize its cardiovascular drug development programs.

Xceedance has acquired Millennium Information Services, a leading U.S. property inspection and data analytics provider, adding nearly 200 team members and a nationwide contractor network of more than 1,300 inspectors. The deal strengthens Xceedance's underwriting support and analytics capabilities—accelerating its expansion in personal lines and enabling broader inspection- and data-driven services for carriers and MGAs via Millennium's MAPS platform.

ZEMA Global Data Corporation announced it will acquire Morningstar Commodity Data, expanding ZEMA's enterprise data and analytics offering with real-time commodity and energy data and a multi-tenant public cloud distribution platform. The deal follows a growth equity investment from FTV Capital and will broaden ZEMA's product capabilities and entry into financial markets while preserving service to energy, trading and supply-chain customers; financial terms were not disclosed.

Datassential, a leading food and beverage intelligence platform, received a growth investment from New Mountain Capital alongside Endicott Capital to accelerate product innovation, strengthen technology capabilities, and pursue strategic growth. The transaction involves existing investor Spectrum Equity (mentioned in adviser disclosures) and will support Datassential’s expansion of its AI-powered data and analytics offerings for the food & beverage sector.

AlphaSense has completed its $930 million acquisition of Tegus, combining Tegus's expert research, private company content, and financial data with AlphaSense's AI-powered market intelligence platform. The deal is supported by a concurrent $650 million financing round that values AlphaSense at $4 billion and is intended to accelerate content expansion, product integration, and growth.

Chicago-based OneSix has acquired Strong Analytics, a machine learning and AI consultancy previously owned by Advantage Solutions Inc., combining teams to offer end-to-end data and AI solutions for enterprise clients. The deal expands OneSix's ML/Gen AI capabilities and Snowflake-focused services; Dave Kilimnik will serve as acting CEO while Strong Analytics leaders Brock Ferguson and Jacob Zweig join the combined company.

Vestar Capital Partners closed a $1.2 billion single-asset continuation vehicle to provide liquidity and committed capital for its stake in Circana. Blackstone Strategic Partners and HarbourVest Partners acted as lead investors in the vehicle, which is intended to offer existing investors optional liquidity while supporting Circana's organic and inorganic growth initiatives.

NV5 Global, Inc. (NV5) has agreed to acquire GIS Solutions, Inc., a Springfield, Illinois–based provider of enterprise GIS application development, cloud database design, data science, and project management services for state departments of transportation and utilities. The deal, paid with a combination of cash and stock, is expected to be immediately accretive to NV5 and expands NV5’s geospatial and cloud-managed data capabilities.

Boston-based consulting firm Investor Group Services (IGS) has acquired Chicago-based Healthy Insights, a strategic growth advisor with a proprietary data and analytics platform. The acquisition expands IGS’s data analytics and machine-learning capabilities to better serve private equity clients and portfolio companies.

Superstep Capital, a private equity firm, announced a strategic growth investment in One Six Solutions to accelerate the Chicago-based data and cloud transformation firm's next stage of growth. The capital will support One Six's continued hiring of data engineers, analysts, and developers and help scale its cloud, data, and application modernization capabilities.

Renovus Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Premier International Enterprises, LLC, a Chicago-based technology consulting firm specializing in data migration and data governance. Renovus will support Premier’s product development, scale delivery capabilities, and pursue strategic add-on acquisitions to expand the company’s services and market reach.

Summit Park has completed a majority recapitalization of Curion Holdings, LLC, a Chicago-based provider of product testing and consumer quantitative and qualitative insights. Stellus Capital Management provided senior debt financing and an equity co-investment to support the transaction; Summit Park said it will partner with Curion's management to expand the platform and grow the company's data-driven insights capabilities.

Trinity Life Sciences has acquired Illinois-headquartered D Cube Analytics to expand its data science, AI/ML and digital transformation capabilities for life sciences commercialization. The deal brings D Cube's suite of analytics platforms and more than 250 employees (including offices in Bengaluru and Chennai) into Trinity's commercialization portfolio to accelerate analytics-driven commercial decision-making.

The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) has acquired GF Data, a provider of middle-market transaction multiples and deal data. The acquisition integrates GF Data's subscription database and research capabilities into ACG's content and membership services to give middle-market dealmakers standardized benchmarks and greater clarity on purchase-price multiples and deal terms.

Verisk (Nasdaq: VRSK) acquired Infutor, a provider of identity resolution and consumer intelligence data, and will integrate Infutor with Jornaya to form Verisk Marketing Solutions. The acquisition expands Verisk's marketing data and identity-resolution capabilities to help clients—particularly in insurance and financial services—improve first-party data enrichment and privacy-compliant marketing.

The Riverside Company has invested in ProspectNow as an add-on to its portfolio company Buildout, Inc. ProspectNow's AI-powered property and owner database will be integrated into Buildout's CRE SaaS platform to enhance broker prospecting, marketing and deal management.

Copley Equity Partners has made a growth investment in Spend Matters, a Chicago-based tech-enabled data platform that provides procurement technology benchmarking and the TechMatch SaaS application. Spend Matters founder and CEO Jason Busch remains a substantial equity holder and will continue to lead the company; proceeds will be used to scale procurement offerings and expand into adjacent technology markets such as accounts payable, B2B payments, and supply chain analytics.

Torch.AI acquired The DataTech Group, an Illinois-based data warehouse and analytics solutions provider, to strengthen its capabilities and expand support for U.S. Department of Defense and other federal clients. The acquisition brings DataTech’s expertise in data warehousing, decision support systems, and enterprise architecture into Torch.AI’s AI-powered Nexus platform to accelerate federal mission outcomes.

Gauntlet Funding has acquired AnyCurb, a Chicago-based real estate data and predictive analytics company focused on off-market home search and likelihood-to-sell modeling. Gauntlet says AnyCurb’s technology will be integrated into its upcoming Crucible platform to provide enhanced intelligence to the lender’s investors and clients.

Recognize, a technology services investment platform, made a strategic growth investment in machine learning and advanced data analytics firm SpringML. SpringML's founders will remain in leadership, Raj Mehta of Recognize joins SpringML's board as Chairman, and the partnership is intended to help SpringML scale organically and inorganically while expanding its Google Cloud and Salesforce-based analytics offerings.

Data Axle, a Dallas-based provider of data and data-driven marketing solutions, acquired Exact Data, a Chicago-based multi-channel direct marketing and data provider. The deal integrates Exact Data into Data Axle USA to expand Data Axle's SMB-focused data offerings and grow its SMB client base to over 40,000 organizations.

CorEvitas, a provider of curated real-world evidence and a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, has added Vestrum Health to its organization. The acquisition brings Vestrum’s retina-focused EHR data analytics and real-world evidence capabilities into CorEvitas’ registry and analytics platform to expand specialty EHR data and RWE services for retina practices and biopharmaceutical customers.

Precisely, newly backed by Clearlake Capital and TA Associates, has agreed to acquire data governance and data quality provider Infogix. The acquisition expands Precisely's data integrity platform by adding Infogix's data governance, data catalog, data quality capabilities and strategic services; terms were not disclosed.

Kantar has acquired Chicago-based Numerator from Vista Equity Partners, combining Numerator's tech-driven consumer panel and data capabilities with Kantar's global shopper insights. The deal expands Kantar's presence in the U.S. and Canada and enhances its data and analytics offerings to CPG, retail and advertising clients; Bain Capital and WPP have further committed investment in Kantar as part of the transaction backdrop.

AHEAD has acquired Vertical Trail, a Chicago-based data and analytics consulting firm, to expand its cloud-based data engineering, data science and analytics capabilities. The acquisition integrates Vertical Trail’s cloud accelerators and partnerships (including Snowflake, Dataiku and Tableau) into AHEAD’s portfolio to help enterprise clients accelerate data-driven transformation.

SPINS, a Chicago-based wellness-focused data and analytics provider, received a growth investment led by Warburg Pincus with participation from General Atlantic and Georgian. The capital will support SPINS' expansion of sales and marketing, new product development, retail partner value, and entry into new verticals.

Komodo Health has acquired Mavens Consulting Services, a provider of cloud-based software and Salesforce-powered solutions for life sciences companies. The deal expands Komodo's Healthcare Map-driven enterprise platform with Mavens' applications and services, accelerating product capability and global expansion; terms were not disclosed.

Prometheus Group has acquired Utopia Global, Inc., a provider of data quality, data migration and data governance software and services. The deal — the fifth add-on since Genstar Capital invested in Prometheus — expands Prometheus' asset management platform with Utopia's SAP-integrated master data management and machine-learning capabilities.

PDI Technologies (PDI) acquired analytics-cloud provider SwiftIQ on January 30, 2020 to integrate SwiftIQ's machine learning-enabled analytics and vendor collaboration capabilities into PDI's Offer Network. The acquisition expands PDI's data and insights offering for convenience retailers and CPG brands, enabling better measurement of promotion ROI and store-level optimization.

Accenture has completed the acquisition of Clarity Insights, a Chicago-based data analytics consulting firm and portfolio company of RLH Equity Partners. Clarity, which has over 300 team members and serves enterprise clients across healthcare, financial services and insurance, will bolster Accenture's AI and data analytics capabilities in North America; terms were not disclosed.

Datavant has acquired Health Data Link to integrate the latter's academic and government-focused data linkage capabilities into Datavant's open health data ecosystem. The deal brings Health Data Link's network of over 40 institutions into Datavant's ecosystem of 200+ institutions and moves several Health Data Link leaders into Datavant management roles to expand capabilities for research and health system customers.

TowerData has completed the acquisition of Xverify, an email validation provider that has verified over 11 billion email addresses since 2011. The deal brings Xverify's email verification capabilities and team into TowerData's email data and intelligence platform to improve validation accuracy, deliverability and marketing ROI for clients.

Definitive Healthcare has acquired the data services business and related assets of HIMSS Analytics, including the Logic, Predict, Analyze and custom research products. The acquisition expands Definitive Healthcare’s healthcare data and IT purchasing intelligence capabilities by integrating HIMSS Analytics’ technology install and purchasing-contract datasets into its platform.

Trianz, a global digital transformation and technology services firm, has acquired CBIG Consulting, a Chicago-based Big Data and Analytics consulting business. The acquisition expands Trianz's analytics and data capabilities and adds CBIG's management team and expertise to Trianz's broader cloud, analytics and managed services portfolio; 7 Mile Advisors acted as exclusive buy-side advisor.
