Smith System, a MidOcean Partners portfolio company, has acquired Utilimarc, a Minneapolis-based fleet analytics and benchmarking provider, to create an integrated driver safety and fleet analytics platform. The combination unifies Smith System's driver training and behavior-based risk management with Utilimarc's telematics and fleet BI capabilities to deliver a closed-loop solution for safer, more efficient fleet operations.

PAR Technology Corporation acquired Delaget, a restaurant analytics and business intelligence provider, for $132 million (closed Dec. 31, 2024). The deal, paid principally in PAR common stock, brings Delaget's analytics, loss-prevention and operational-insights capabilities into PAR's Operator Cloud and accelerates development of the PAR Data Platform to deliver expanded back-office and delivery operations analytics to restaurant customers.

Gryphon Investors completed a majority growth recapitalization of phData to support the company's continued expansion of its data engineering and AI solutions. phData's management, including CEO Ryan Bosshart, retains a significant equity stake; financial terms were not disclosed.

Thought Logic Consulting, a Renovus Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired eCapital Advisors, a Minneapolis–area consultancy specializing in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Data & Analytics. The acquisition expands Thought Logic’s data, analytics and workplace-technology capabilities and brings eCapital leadership into Thought Logic’s executive team.

Crisp has acquired Minneapolis-based retail data firms Lumidata and SetSight and will integrate their sales and supply-chain analytics into the Crisp platform. The deals expand Crisp’s retailer connectivity and analytics capabilities—giving thousands of CPG brands unified, store-level POS and inventory visibility across major retailers such as Target and Best Buy.

Hexaware Technologies has acquired Softcrylic, a Minneapolis-based data consulting firm, to strengthen Hexaware's data and analytics, marketing technology, and customer-journey capabilities. The acquisition integrates Softcrylic's marketing analytics and engineering expertise with Hexaware's engineering and AI capabilities to expand data-driven offerings for enterprise clients.

Trace3, a technology consulting and systems-integration firm headquartered in Irvine, California, has acquired Tail Wind Informatics, a Minnetonka, Minnesota-based data and analytics consulting firm. The acquisition (closed January 2, 2024) expands Trace3's Data & Analytics capabilities and brings Tail Wind's expertise in business intelligence, cloud analytics, and data management into Trace3's service portfolio.

Engine, a provider of omni-analytics and data science solutions for CPGs and retailers, has acquired Minneapolis-based media measurement firm Lift Bridge Consulting effective January 8, 2024. The deal brings Lift Bridge founder Rachel Robertson into Engine as SVP of Marketing Solutions and expands Engine’s capabilities into marketing and media measurement to better connect marketing spend to sales outcomes.

Unite Us acquired Carrot Health to integrate Carrot's person-centered health analytics and predictive models into Unite Us' nationwide coordinated care platform. The deal combines Unite Us' closed-loop care coordination, enrollment and payments capabilities with Carrot Health's large consumer and health data set to enhance proactive identification and engagement across social and health services.

Integrity Marketing Group has acquired Deft Research, a Minneapolis-based provider of health insurance consumer insights and market research. The acquisition brings Deft Research's syndicated and custom research capabilities onto Integrity's platform to enhance data-driven product development and distribution for carriers and agents.

NMS Capital has partnered with DCM Services' management in a recapitalization of DCM Services, a Minneapolis-area provider of data and contact management solutions for estate and specialty receivables recovery. The investment will support growth and scaling of DCM's proprietary Probate Finder technology, expand capabilities, and target growth across financial services, healthcare and other end markets.
