Carpenter Media Group, parent of Black Press Media, has acquired Enterprise Media Group’s 10 weekly newspapers and three total-market shoppers across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. The sixth-generation, family-owned Enterprise (led by Mark and Chris Rhoades) reaches more than 40,000 readers; Carpenter says the acquisition will strengthen local journalism and support the publications' staffs.
