Media & Entertainment Acquisitions in Nebraska

Carpenter Media Group, parent of Black Press Media, has acquired Enterprise Media Group’s 10 weekly newspapers and three total-market shoppers across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. The sixth-generation, family-owned Enterprise (led by Mark and Chris Rhoades) reaches more than 40,000 readers; Carpenter says the acquisition will strengthen local journalism and support the publications' staffs.

Everi Holdings Inc. agreed to acquire the majority of assets of VKGS LLC (Video King) for approximately $59 million in cash. The asset purchase expands Everi's addressable market for digital casino gaming content—Video King brings an installed base of more than 50,000 portable electronic bingo tablets, revenue of over $25 million in 2022, and licensing in ~60 jurisdictions.

Bowlero Corp. (NYSE: BOWL) completed the acquisition of The Mark, a large family entertainment center in Elkhorn, Nebraska, expanding its footprint in the Omaha market. The location is a state-of-the-art, 85,000+ sq. ft. facility with 40 bowling lanes, courts, an arcade, full-service kitchen and sports bar; this is Bowlero's second completed Omaha-area acquisition in 2022.

Tickets For Less has acquired Ticket Express, a long-running Omaha, Nebraska ticket reseller, and will operate the business under the Tickets For Less brand. Ticket Express founder Chad Carr will join Tickets For Less as Nebraska Area Manager as the buyer expands its local footprint across Nebraska and western Iowa.
