Software Acquisitions in Florida

Turn/River Capital has acquired StarLIMS, a Hollywood, Florida–based laboratory informatics software provider, from Francisco Partners in a transaction valued at roughly $200 million. Turn/River plans to scale StarLIMS’ product and go-to-market capabilities — including AI integration — while CEO Trey Cook remains in place as Francisco Partners fully exits the investment.

InterProse, a Vancouver, Washington–based provider of cloud debt-recovery software, has acquired Beam Software, a collections platform focused on portfolio management for debt buyers and servicers. The deal, which closed in mid-December, will integrate Beam into InterProse's ACE platform to deliver end-to-end collections technology; financial terms were not disclosed and Beam's leadership and support commitments will remain in place.

Valsoft Corporation has acquired Jazzware, a U.S.-based provider of hospitality communications and guest-experience software. Jazzware will join Aspire Software (an operating group of Valsoft) and continue to operate autonomously while benefiting from Valsoft/Aspire's resources to expand its hospitality-focused offerings.

Datacor, Inc., a provider of process manufacturing and chemical distribution software, has acquired VDISoft, a developer of configurable quality-control (QC) software for laboratory and production environments. The acquisition expands Datacor’s quality and laboratory capabilities—complementing earlier additions such as Baytek International—and strengthens its tools for accuracy, compliance, and data-driven quality management across oil & gas, chemical, and other process industries.

Momentive Software announced the acquisition of VolunteerMatters, a volunteer management software provider, to add volunteer management capabilities to its cloud-based suite for mission-driven organizations. The deal integrates VolunteerMatters’ SaaS offering into Momentive’s platform to help nonprofits and associations better engage volunteers and streamline operations.

Banyan Software has acquired CFS Solutions, a Tallahassee-based provider of deposit automation and check imaging software for ATMs and ITMs that serves over 500 community banks and credit unions. The acquisition expands Banyan's financial services software portfolio and will enable additional investment in CFS's product integrations and customer support.

Banyan Software has acquired Eclipse EHR Solutions, a provider of electronic health records and practice management software for chiropractors, physical therapists, and other allied health providers. The founders will remain involved with product development as Eclipse joins Banyan's healthcare software portfolio to accelerate innovation and support a move to a cloud-based platform.

Nelnet Business Services, a division of Nelnet, Inc., has acquired Next Gen Web Solutions and will incorporate the company into its Nelnet Campus Commerce business line. Next Gen, headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, provides software solutions for higher education—expanding Nelnet's product suite for form building, financial aid exception processing, verification, scholarship management, and work-study administrative support.

SurePoint Technologies has acquired ZenCase to expand its legal practice management capabilities, combining ZenCase’s front-office attorney-focused platform with SurePoint’s back-office financial management and Leopard Solutions’ market intelligence. The deal is intended to create a unified practice management suite for mid-sized law firms and accelerate SurePoint’s product roadmap and market offering.

CINC Systems, a PE-backed leader in community association management software, has acquired ONR Applications, a resident engagement mobile platform, to integrate advanced communication and resident-facing features into CINC’s product suite. The deal brings ONR’s founders and executive team into CINC as shareholders and aims to create an end-to-end HOA/community association management platform.

Clear Peak Capital entered a partnership with ITsynch, LLC on November 12, 2024; Generational Group advised ITsynch on the transaction. The investment will support ITsynch's expansion of service offerings and entry into new markets by combining the firm's maritime-focused software capabilities with Clear Peak's IT services expertise and capital.

CSI, a provider of end-to-end financial software, has acquired Velocity Solutions from H.I.G. Capital. Velocity Solutions — a nearly 30-year-old provider of deposit acquisition, customer engagement and intelligent overdraft management software that serves more than 30 million consumers — will be integrated into CSI's suite of products; terms were not disclosed.

AutoManager Acquisition, Inc., a Beekman-backed provider of dealer management software, has acquired EverLogic, Inc., a Jacksonville-based provider of dealer management software for RV, trailer, and powersports dealerships. EverLogic founder Mike Goodwin will remain president as the deal expands AutoManager's product footprint and reach into RV, trailer, and powersports dealer channels across the U.S. and Canada.

Envera Systems, a provider of automated and software-enabled security solutions, has acquired Applications by Design, Inc. (ABDi), a Boca Raton–based developer of configurable community management and access control software. The deal expands Envera's product offerings and security capabilities for community associations and represents an add-on acquisition to Envera's growth strategy while the company remains PE-backed by Wind Point Partners.

Lexipol has acquired LEFTA Systems, a provider of field training and performance reporting software for public safety agencies. The acquisition combines LEFTA's data collection and analytics capabilities with Lexipol's policy, training and wellness solutions to create an integrated performance management offering for law enforcement and other public safety organizations.

Entrata, the Lehi, Utah–based multifamily property management OS provider, has acquired Colleen AI to accelerate its autonomous property management strategy and bolster AI capabilities across the Entrata platform. As part of the deal, shareholders of Colleen AI, including Wilshire Lane Capital, will become shareholders of Entrata.

MediSpend, a Portsmouth, New Hampshire–based commercial compliance technology company, has acquired MedCompli, a life-sciences compliance software and services provider, effective May 17, 2024. The acquisition expands MediSpend’s product portfolio and subject-matter expertise—bringing complementary SaaS and advisory capabilities into its PE-backed platform to better serve life sciences customers globally.

Bravo Store Systems acquired all PawnMaster products from Data Age Business Systems, bringing PawnMaster Classic, PawnMaster Ignite and related products into Bravo's portfolio. The transaction transfers PawnMaster users to Bravo and aims to integrate the product suite to expand Bravo's offerings for pawnbrokers and specialty retailers.

Convenient Brands, a Draper, Utah-based platform of auto industry software and payments businesses and majority-owned by The Beekman Group, has acquired Web-Est, LLC, a provider of collision estimating software for independent auto body shops. The acquisition is an add-on to Convenient Brands' product suite to expand estimating capabilities and offer a more complete software and payments package to repair shops.

DocuSketch, a Lakeland, Florida-based provider of process optimization and claims documentation software for the property restoration industry, has received a minority growth investment from Summit Partners. The capital will support product R&D and accelerate integration of advanced AI capabilities while DocuSketch management retains majority ownership.

Indianapolis-based Bloomerang acquired Lakeland, Florida-based fundraising software firm Qgiv in a deal that closed in December. The acquisition adds Qgiv's online giving, event registration and peer-to-peer fundraising capabilities to Bloomerang's fundraising, CRM and volunteer management platform; the combined company has about 500 employees and more than 23,000 customers.

Learning Pool, the Derry-based learning technology company, has acquired OnScreen, a Tampa-based Digital Adoption Platform provider. The acquisition adds in-app guided walkthroughs and DAP functionality to Learning Pool’s enterprise portfolio to improve employee onboarding and software adoption; financial terms were not disclosed.

Revalize, a TA Associates- and Hg-backed idea-to-cash software platform, has acquired KCL, a leading CAD/BIM design software provider for the foodservice equipment industry. The acquisition integrates KCL's design tools and equipment library into Revalize's CPQ and catalog offerings to streamline kitchen design, configuration, and quoting for designers and manufacturers.

Advantive, a Tampa-based provider of ERP, MES and SPC software for specialty manufacturing and distribution, announced a growth recapitalization led by Insight Partners and OA Private Capital, with existing investor TA Associates reinvesting. The financing will support Advantive's continued scaling, product and market expansion and execution of strategic initiatives; financial terms were not disclosed.

Kingsway Financial Services formed Vertical Market Solutions, LLC and acquired Miami-based vertical market software provider Systems Products International, Inc. (SPI) in a cash transaction as the fourth acquisition under its Kingsway Search Xcelerator program. Kingsway said the deal will be immediately accretive, expand its recurring revenue base, and establish VMS as a platform for future vertical market software add-ons; Drew Richard will transition to CEO of SPI.

The Brydon Group has acquired Peak Performance Solutions, a Tallahassee-based provider of training, compliance and audit software for law enforcement agencies. Financial terms were not disclosed; Byline Bank and NorthCoast Mezzanine provided financing to support the transaction and Peak's co-founders will remain in advisory roles while a new CEO, John Kingsbury, will lead growth initiatives.

Firmament, a structured equity investor, has acquired Scanco Software, a provider of warehouse and manufacturing automation software. The investment will fund product innovation, support strategic acquisitions, and drive growth while Scanco’s executive management team — including President and CEO Andrew Nunez — remains in place.

Great Hill Partners made a growth equity investment in TOPS Software, which has rebranded as Enumerate, to accelerate the company's growth plans and enhance its product roadmap. Enumerate provides accounting, payments, and resident engagement software for homeowner associations and property management companies and is headquartered in Clearwater, Florida.

UK-based software company Ideagen has acquired Tritan Software, a Miami-headquartered provider of maritime health, safety and compliance software. The acquisition expands Ideagen's regulated-industry software portfolio into the maritime, cruise and offshore markets and aims to accelerate Tritan's growth and service expansion under Ideagen's platform.

Funds advised by Apax Digital completed an equity recapitalization of Magaya Corporation alongside existing investor LLR Partners and other shareholders. The transaction provides capital to support Magaya's organic growth, platform enhancements and strategic M&A; Magaya's founders remain minority shareholders and Apax/LLR representatives will join the company's board.

Abrigo, a provider of compliance, credit risk, and lending solutions, has acquired DiCOM Software, a provider of automated credit risk management and loan review software based in Orlando, Florida. The deal is an add-on to Abrigo's growing software portfolio (backed by The Carlyle Group and Accel-KKR) to expand its credit risk, loan review, and portfolio analysis capabilities for financial institutions.

Working Knowledge (the ownership team behind ParityFactory) and partners have acquired jLAN Technologies, Inc., developer of the jLAN Mobile Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and Route Management software. The deal positions jLAN as a close partner to ParityFactory to extend end-to-end lot tracing and route-to-shelf capabilities for food & beverage manufacturers and distributors.

Avid Ratings has acquired the H2insight Homebuilder Operations to expand its customer experience platform and benchmarking dataset for the homebuilding industry. The deal brings H2insight’s homebuilder-focused survey, reporting and customer success capabilities (and CEO Vince Kudla) into Avid’s offering to deepen analytics and market benchmarking for builders across the U.S. and Canada.

Churchill Downs Incorporated announced a definitive agreement to acquire Exacta Systems, a provider of historical horse racing (HHR) technology, for $250 million in cash. The asset purchase is intended to deliver tax benefits and operational synergies with CDI’s existing racetrack and HHR operations, and is expected to close in 2023 pending regulatory approvals.

MeridianLink, Inc. (NYSE: MLNK) has completed the acquisition of OpenClose, a fintech provider of residential mortgage loan origination, POS and pricing engine software. The deal combines MeridianLink's cloud lending capabilities with OpenClose's POS/LOS/PPE solutions to expand product capabilities and deliver a broader omnichannel mortgage platform to banks, credit unions and mortgage lenders.

ReSource Pro, an insurance-focused business process and technology provider, has acquired MIS Insurance Services, a Maitland, Florida-based provider of policy administration software and web-based services for the commercial P&C insurance market. The acquisition (closed October 14, 2022) will enable ReSource Pro to deepen its policy administration and program-launch capabilities and expand MIS's reach through ReSource Pro's carrier, MGA and program administrator network.

UK-based regulatory software provider Ideagen has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire ProcessMAP, a US-headquartered environmental, health and safety (EHS) software business. The combination will create an expanded EHSQ software offering, leveraging Ideagen's global customer base and Hg (Ideagen's majority investor) will remain the majority investor in the combined business.

MPACT Strategic Consulting, a Houston-based consulting firm, has acquired Designing Success and its Tracking At-A-Glance (TAAG) web-based case management and performance tracking software to expand its human capital and software capabilities. The acquisition is intended to enhance MPACT's service offerings to federal agencies, nonprofits, health and human service providers, and other funding recipients by integrating a customizable case management and performance-tracking tool.

Vista Equity Partners and Evergreen Coast Capital completed the $16.5 billion acquisition of Citrix Systems, with Citrix shareholders receiving $104.00 per share. The buyers plan to combine Citrix with Vista portfolio company TIBCO Software to create a scaled enterprise software provider focused on secure digital workspaces, data management and accelerating Citrix’s SaaS transition.

48forty Solutions, a Houston-based pallet management platform backed by Audax Private Equity and Summit Partners, acquired Florida-based software vendor Innovative Data Systems, Inc. (developer of the Pallet-Track Suite). The deal (terms undisclosed) is an add-on acquisition to integrate and further invest in IDS's pallet-tracking and inventory software to expand 48forty's technology capabilities for customers and the broader pallet industry.

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company has acquired Motility Software, a Serent Capital-backed provider of dealer management software for specialty dealerships. The deal expands Reynolds' presence in the specialty vehicle dealership market and brings Motility's inventory, payments and DMS capabilities into Reynolds' broader automotive retail platform.

CaseWorthy, Inc., backed by private equity firm Symphony Technology Group (STG), has made a majority investment in Accessible Solutions, Inc., the provider of the ServTracker aging-services software. The deal will combine CaseWorthy's case management platform with Accessible Solutions' aging-services capabilities to expand product offerings for multi-program social service and governmental agencies.

Embrace Software Inc. has acquired Better Branches Technology, a Tampa-based provider of branch visitor and appointment management software for American credit unions. The deal brings Better Branches' six product offerings into Embrace's niche software portfolio and will transition operational leadership to Justin Orr of AQ2 Embrace to drive integration and growth.

Radicle Health, a human-services software group, has acquired Stabilify, a child-welfare-focused software provider. Stabilify will join forces with KCare within the Radicle Health family to expand case management and analytics capabilities for child welfare and social service agencies.

Volaris Group Inc. announced the acquisition of Datapro Inc., a Miami-based provider of core banking software (e-IBS) serving banks across Latin America. The deal expands Volaris' Financial Services software portfolio and geographic presence in Latin America; Datapro will continue to operate autonomously with Christiaan de Haseth named CEO and founder Ricardo R. Montero remaining as a strategic advisor.

Foundation Software, a provider of construction back-office solutions, has acquired Estimating Edge, maker of The EDGE commercial construction estimating, takeoff and project management software. The acquisition expands Foundation's product suite to offer a more complete back-office solution for specialty trade contractors and strengthens its estimating and takeoff capabilities.

ToolsGroup acquired the Demand Management business from Mi9 Retail (the unit formerly known as JustEnough Software), expanding its supply chain planning and demand forecasting capabilities. The transaction coincides with a new growth investment into ToolsGroup from Accel-KKR; Mi9 Retail sold the division to ToolsGroup to consolidate its retail software offerings.

Jacksonville-based Revalize, a TA Associates-backed sector-specific revenue operations software platform, announced the acquisition of four companies — Attainia, BCA Technologies, LeadMethod and MicroD — to expand its manufacturing-focused solution set. The add-ons extend Revalize’s capabilities across medical equipment planning, AEC/building-product commerce, channel partner lead management, and home furnishings eCommerce and visualization tools.

Serviceaide, a San Jose–based provider of AI-powered enterprise service management solutions, has acquired SunView Software, the maker of the ChangeGear IT Service Management (ITSM) platform. The acquisition expands Serviceaide's ITSM capabilities and product reach, combining SunView's ChangeGear change/incident/asset management strengths with Serviceaide's AI-powered Luma service automation and virtual agent technology.

EasyVista, backed by Eurazeo and Cathay Capital, has acquired Miami-based Goverlan, a remote support and IT process automation software provider. The deal (financed in part by BlackRock's European Middle Market Private Debt team) expands EasyVista’s ITSM capabilities toward self-healing functionality and adds ~1,600 customers, supporting EasyVista’s North American expansion and 2025 growth plan.
