Aerospace & Defense Acquisitions in Minnesota

Czechoslovak Group (CSG) has proposed a $2.15 billion acquisition of The Kinetic Group from Vista Outdoor and committed a $150 million investment in Revelyst for a 7.5% stake. Vista Outdoor stockholders were urged to approve the transaction; CSG positions the deal as a fully financed purchase that expands its defense and ammunition manufacturing capabilities in the United States while taking a minority stake in Vista Outdoor's outdoor brands business.

Cerberus Capital Management has acquired Calspan’s hypersonic and defense test systems business units from TransDigm Group and established North Wind, an independent supplier focused on hypersonic test infrastructure, systems and services. The transaction brings together Calspan Aero Systems Engineering (St. Paul, MN) and Calspan Systems (Newport News, VA) under a standalone platform to expand U.S. hypersonic test capabilities for government RDT&E and aerospace customers.

ADDMAN Engineering, a platform established and backed by private equity firm American Industrial Partners (AIP), has completed the acquisition of Domaille Engineering. Domaille — a Rochester, Minnesota-based manufacturer of mission-critical aerospace & defense components and proprietary fiber optic instruments with additional facilities in Wright City, Missouri and Glen Burnie, Maryland — expands ADDMAN's additive and traditional machining capabilities and geographic footprint. Terms were not disclosed.

Wisconsin Aviation, a full-service fixed-base operator, has acquired Jaeger Aviation of Willmar, Minnesota to expand its aircraft interiors capability. The acquisition brings Jaeger’s Spatial Interior product line and upholstery expertise into Wisconsin Aviation’s aircraft interiors department to support growth in general aviation interior repairs and refurbishments.

Calspan Technology Holding Corporation has acquired Aero Systems Engineering (ASE) from private equity firm Gen Cap America. ASE, based in St. Paul, Minnesota, provides engine test cell and wind tunnel design, construction and lab testing services for aerospace OEMs, MROs, governments and research organizations; terms were not disclosed.
