Minitab, a global data analytics and process-improvement software provider, has acquired Scytec, the maker of DataXchange, to add real-time machine data collection and shop-floor monitoring capabilities to its analytics portfolio. The deal expands Minitab's end-to-end manufacturing data capabilities—connecting machine-level operational data with quality analytics, OEE monitoring, and real-time SPC.

The Sanborn Map Company has integrated EDCON-PRJ into its portfolio, expanding Sanborn's geophysical surveying and airborne data capabilities. The move gives EDCON-PRJ access to Sanborn's national aircraft fleet, advanced sensor platforms, and enhanced AI-powered data-processing resources to support expanded programs across natural resources, utilities, defense, and infrastructure.

InflexionPoint, a systems integrator focused on regulated industries, has acquired Process Innovations, a provider of Asset Performance Management solutions for the AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System. The deal expands InflexionPoint's PI expertise and OT/IT convergence capabilities, enhancing its analytics, AI, digital twins, and managed-services offerings across energy, water/wastewater, life sciences, and manufacturing end markets.

Kinective has acquired Datava, a data aggregation and intelligence platform for banks and credit unions, to integrate end-to-end data intelligence into Kinective’s banking operations platform. Datava CEO Gordon Flammer will join Kinective’s leadership team; Capstone Strategic served as Datava’s exclusive M&A advisor.

Woolpert has acquired the lidar operations of Teren and will integrate Teren's analytics and Terevue SaaS platform into its geospatial offerings to better serve energy, utilities, transportation and renewable customers. Teren will remain an independent company while Woolpert also hired Teren's Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Energy Operations, Sam Acheson, to support energy clients.

Zema Global has acquired cQuant.io, a cloud-native analytics provider for energy and commodities firms, with the business operating as a wholly owned subsidiary branded "A Zema Global Company." The acquisition, supported by Zema Global's investor FTV Capital, names cQuant.io CEO David Leevan President of Zema Global and expands Zema's data-to-analytics capabilities for energy, commodities and financial customers.

LeadsOnline LLC, a TA Associates‑backed provider of investigative data and intelligence tools for law enforcement, has acquired Nighthawk.Cloud, Inc., the developer of LEOVision, an investigative data visualization and analysis platform. The deal brings Nighthawk's analytics and visualization capabilities into the LeadsOnline product suite to accelerate digital-evidence analysis and broaden investigative offerings for law enforcement agencies.

Daasity, a data and analytics platform for omnichannel consumer brands, has acquired Red Fox Analytics to combine digital and retail data analytics into a single platform. The deal brings Red Fox's retail and distributor data expertise into Daasity's product, with Red Fox founder Chris Mauzé joining Daasity as chief product officer to help integrate retail data sources and scale the combined offering.

TRC Companies, Inc. acquired Locana (Critigen LLC d/b/a Locana) to expand its geospatial technology and location-intelligence capabilities. Locana, a Denver‑headquartered provider of enterprise GIS software and services (including the Lemur mobile product) that serves utilities, telecommunications and government clients, was sold by private equity backers Transom Capital Group and Angeleno Group.

AirDNA, a Denver-based short-term rental data provider, has acquired Arrivalist, a location intelligence platform serving the travel and hospitality industry. The deal brings Arrivalist into predictis (a portfolio of Alpine Investors) as an add-on to expand AirDNA’s location and travel-data capabilities and product offerings for DMOs, hotels, and travel marketers.

Chicago-based data and analytics consultancy Analytics8 acquired Denver-based Mashey, a boutique data analytics consultancy, to expand its capabilities in modern data technologies. The acquisition, finalized Sept. 16, 2022, brings Mashey’s team and expertise in tools like Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran and Looker into Analytics8 to accelerate capability expansion and client service offerings.

ATTOM, a provider of nationwide property data and analytics based in Irvine, California, has acquired Estated, a U.S. property data licensing company. The deal expands ATTOM's enterprise data licensing capabilities and broadens its property-data footprint for customers across insurance, mortgage lending and real estate markets.

myDigitalOffice (MDO) has acquired Focal Revenue, a hospitality-focused revenue intelligence and business intelligence software provider, to integrate granular revenue insights into MDO's hotel performance management platform. The deal expands MDO's analytics and revenue capabilities to better align sales, marketing, and revenue teams across hotel portfolios.

AirDNA, a Denver-based provider of short-term rental data and predictive analytics, announced a strategic acquisition partnership with private equity firm Alpine Investors. Terms were not disclosed; Alpine will support product and engineering expansion and place Demi Horvat as COO while founder Scott Shatford remains CEO.

Accel-KKR, a technology-focused private equity firm, announced a significant investment in Yes Energy to accelerate the company's power market data products, partnerships and acquisition opportunities. Yes Energy, founded in Boulder, Colorado, will use the funding to expand its product suite and scale to meet growing demand across North American power markets.

Stone Point Capital acquired SambaSafety, a provider of cloud-based mobility risk management software, from ABRY Partners; the deal closed on September 1, 2021. SambaSafety, which serves employers, insurers, and background screeners with driver data and analytics and counts over 15,000 customers, will become part of Stone Point's portfolio to expand its exposure to risk, insurance, and data analytics capabilities.

Private equity firm Contour Ridge (via CR Sweetwater Fund I / Contour Ridge Sweetwater Investco LLC) has made a strategic growth investment to acquire a majority stake in WhiteStar Corporation, a Lakewood, Colorado-based GIS data and land-mapping software company. The capital will be used to accelerate commercialization and development of WhiteStar's proprietary geospatial data assets and AI-based land-mapping capabilities for real estate, energy & utilities, telecom and other infrastructure markets; terms were not disclosed.

Enverus, the energy-focused SaaS and data analytics company, has acquired Energy Acuity, a provider of power generation and power delivery market data with expertise in renewables. The acquisition will integrate Energy Acuity’s datasets and domain experts into Enverus’ Prism platform to expand its power and renewables analytics and forecasting capabilities.

Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, via its Fastmarkets business, has acquired 100% of The Jacobsen, a US-focused agricultural price reporting agency (PRA). The deal expands Fastmarkets' commodity price reporting capabilities into North American agriculture and the biofuels market, integrating The Jacobsen's pricing, forecasts and client relationships into Fastmarkets' global PRA platform.

NYDIG has acquired Digital Assets Data, a provider of institutional-grade data, research, and analytics for digital assets. The acquisition brings Digital Assets Data's data platform and team into NYDIG to expand the firm's institutional data and research capabilities for clients including asset managers, hedge funds, banks, and family offices.

Converge Technology Solutions Corp. signed a definitive agreement to acquire CarpeDatum Consulting, Inc., a Denver-based IBM Analytics consulting firm and Alteryx Preferred Partner. The acquisition, expected to close January 4, 2021, adds analytics, AI and performance-management capabilities to Converge's AI & Analytics practice and supports expansion across its Central and Western U.S. regions.

ISS Market Intelligence, part of Institutional Shareholder Services, acquired Flowspring, a Denver-based provider of competitive and predictive intelligence for asset managers. The deal brings Flowspring's quantitative modeling and web-based platform into ISS MI's datasets and research solutions to expand analytics and product capabilities for asset management clients.

Lightview Capital, alongside co-investors Harbert Management Corporation and Resolute Capital Partners, has made a growth investment in Educational Measures LLC, a Denver-based provider of live event audience-engagement technology and analytics (product: Array). The capital will be used to drive organic growth and support add-on acquisitions as Lightview helps build a leading live-event engagement technology platform; Enterprise Bank & Trust provided a senior line of credit for the transaction.

Equifax Inc. acquired ID Watchdog, a Denver-based identity theft protection and resolution services company, for approximately $63 million. The acquisition will integrate ID Watchdog's identity solutions into Equifax's consumer and employee benefits offerings to expand capabilities in identity protection and breach resolution.

EXL (NASDAQ:EXLS) has acquired Datasource Consulting, LLC, a Denver-based enterprise data management and business intelligence firm. The acquisition expands EXL's data strategy, data architecture and BI capabilities, enabling broader end-to-end enterprise data management and ongoing data services.
