Data & Analytics Acquisitions in North Carolina

STG (Symphony Technology Group) has completed the acquisition of Yodlee, Inc., the open finance data aggregation and analytics business, from Envestnet, Inc.; the deal was announced June 25 and closed on September 2, 2025. STG intends to operate Yodlee as an independent, growth-focused business to accelerate open finance innovation and product development, while Envestnet said the sale sharpens its focus on its core Adaptive WealthTech platform.

Charlesbank Capital Partners has made a strategic investment in IMPLAN Group LLC, a Huntersville, North Carolina–based provider of cloud-based economic impact data and analytical software. Existing investor Boathouse Capital fully exited the business; Charlesbank's capital will be used to accelerate product development, expand datasets and geographic coverage, and pursue accretive acquisitions.

Liventus, a Northbrook-based custom software development firm, has acquired Sparkflow Data Analytics to expand its data analytics and business intelligence capabilities. The acquisition brings Sparkflow's Power BI and data warehousing expertise and team (led by Steve Walker, with John Perry joining product development) into Liventus to enable enhanced service offerings, cross-selling, and innovation.

CData Software received approximately $350 million in growth capital led by Warburg Pincus with participation from Accel to accelerate product development, operations, and go-to-market as demand for data connectivity rises. Existing investor Updata Partners will remain a significant investor; CData will continue expanding its data integration and virtualization capabilities following its acquisition of Data Virtuality.

Five9 agreed to acquire Aceyus, a Charlotte-based provider of advanced data integration and analytics, to integrate Aceyus’s pre-built data connectors and analytics into the Five9 Intelligent CX Platform. The acquisition is intended to streamline large enterprise migrations from on‑premises contact center systems to the cloud, enhance Five9’s contextual data capabilities for personalized customer journeys and support its AI roadmap; the transaction was expected to close by the end of Q3 2023.

Argano has acquired Big Compass, LLC, a Charlotte-based consulting firm specializing in Data Agility, data integration, process automation and analytics. The acquisition expands Argano’s digital foundations capabilities by adding Big Compass’ expertise in data movement, decision enablement, and ongoing sustainment to Argano’s existing services.

Norway-based geospatial technology firm Field (Field Group) has acquired Raleigh, North Carolina–based drone and geospatial data company PrecisionHawk. The deal brings Field a U.S. foothold and combines the companies' inspection, AI/ML analytics, and digital-reality technology to expand capabilities across infrastructure, energy, construction, and public-sector markets.

An affiliate of Executive Information Systems (EIS), a portfolio company of CCP Capital Strategies, has acquired Zencos Consulting LLC. The founders, David Septoff and Benjamin Zenick, retain an equity stake and will continue to lead the business; the acquisition expands EIS' SAS-based analytics, cloud modernization, and managed analytics capabilities.

Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) has acquired AGDATA, a Charlotte-based provider of data and workflow solutions for the agribusiness and animal health sectors, from Vista Equity Partners. Financial terms were not disclosed; AGDATA's CEO Heffy Provost will remain in place as LLCP positions the company as a platform investment to expand its tech-enabled data and analytics capabilities serving agriculture and animal health customers.

Keen Decision Systems closed a Series B financing led by Ballast Point Ventures IV, with Cascadia Capital advising. The growth capital will accelerate development and commercial expansion of Keen’s predictive analytics marketing-mix SaaS platform that helps brand marketers optimize online and offline marketing investments.

Alvaria has completed the acquisition of the Intelligent Analytics Platform from Cicero Inc., and the Cicero team will join Alvaria to advance contact-center-focused analytics and attended/unattended RPA capabilities. The deal expands Alvaria's automation and analytics suite to deliver desktop analytics, agent productivity insights, and workflow-triggered RPA to improve customer and employee experiences.

Enhesa has acquired ToxPlanet, adding the world's largest chemical hazard and toxicology literature database to its regulatory and sustainability intelligence offerings. The deal expands Enhesa's sustainable chemistry and product compliance capabilities, integrating ToxPlanet's content-as-a-service database into Enhesa's global compliance platform.

KKR has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority interest in apexanalytix, a supply-chain software, data and analytics provider. Carousel Capital will remain a significant minority owner; KKR’s investment is intended to accelerate apexanalytix’s global expansion, product development and talent recruitment.

Accenture has acquired Core Compete, a cloud analytics services firm headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, to expand its Applied Intelligence capabilities in cloud, data science and AI. The Core Compete team of more than 260 professionals will join Accenture's Applied Intelligence practice to strengthen supply chain, retail and financial-services analytics offerings; terms were not disclosed.

The National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) acquired market analytics platform VisionLTC and combined it with the NIC MAP Data Service to form a new company called NIC MAP Vision. The deal expands NIC’s data and analytics capabilities for the senior living and skilled nursing sectors, providing broader and deeper market data to industry stakeholders.

Randall-Reilly acquired Central Analysis Bureau (CAB) to deepen its transportation data and insurance risk assessment capabilities. CAB's management and staff will remain in place as Randall-Reilly integrates CAB's motor-carrier financial and safety analytics with its RigDig business intelligence and other equipment-level data products.

RKD Group, a Dallas-based provider of fundraising and marketing solutions for nonprofit organizations, has acquired Data Management, Inc. (DMI), a North Carolina data services company. DMI will operate within RKD Insights to expand RKD’s data management, reporting and analytic capabilities for nonprofit fundraising and marketing, maintaining existing client integrations with CRMs such as Blackbaud and Salesforce.

Trivest Partners (via its Trivest Growth Investment Fund) has made a growth investment in Technology Concepts & Design, Inc. (TCDI), a Greensboro, North Carolina–based provider of eDiscovery, litigation management, forensics, cybersecurity and document review services. The investment will support TCDI's growth plan and an aggressive add-on acquisition program to expand the company's size, scale, presence and capabilities.

Cherry Bekaert has acquired Icimo, LLC, a Raleigh/Cary-area data analytics and services firm, which will operate as icimo analytics, by Cherry Bekaert. The acquisition brings more than 25 technology professionals to Cherry Bekaert's digital solutions and services practice and expands the firm's data analytics, visualization and implementation capabilities.

Boathouse Capital provided a debt and equity recapitalization to IMPLAN Group, enabling a management-led leveraged buyout and the company's acquisition of MIG, Inc. The investment will fund IMPLAN Group's deployment of new SaaS and Business Intelligence products, hiring initiatives, and future growth.

Netezza Corporation acquired NuTech Solutions, a Charlotte-based provider of predictive analytics and optimization solutions, adding roughly 30 analytic scientists and engineers and their intellectual property. NuTech will operate as an independent division of Netezza, extending Netezza's advanced analytics capabilities across automotive, consumer goods, energy and government verticals.
