Insurance Acquisitions in South Dakota

Inszone Insurance Services, a Sacramento-based national insurance brokerage, acquired Kouri & Associates Inc., a Sioux Falls, South Dakota insurance agency established in 1970. The deal expands Inszone’s Midwest footprint and gives Kouri’s clients access to Inszone’s broader carrier network and resources while the Kouri team continues to serve clients locally.

World Insurance Associates LLC (headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey) acquired the business of American Trust Insurance, LLC of Huron, South Dakota on December 1, 2023. The deal expands World’s footprint in South Dakota by adding ATI’s eight local offices and capabilities across personal, commercial, life/health and crop/agricultural insurance.

World Insurance Associates LLC acquired Providence Financial, Inc., an independent insurance agency founded by Donald “Joey” Larsen, with the Providence team joining World effective September 1, 2023. The transaction expands World’s footprint into South Dakota and Nebraska; terms were not disclosed.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. acquired Sioux Falls–based Hagan Insurance Group to expand its association and affinity benefits capabilities. The Hagan team will remain in place and operate under Gallagher's Affinity North America leadership to provide complementary expertise and cross-selling opportunities.
