Acquisitions in West Virginia in 2021

Majors Management, LLC acquired the assets of Tri-State Petroleum Corporation, including 25 company-operated convenience stores and eight wholesale dealer accounts in the tri-state region of western Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and eastern Ohio. The acquisition expands Majors' geographic footprint into Pennsylvania and West Virginia while bolstering its presence in Ohio.

The IMA Group (IMA Clinical Research) has acquired Exemplar Research, Inc., a community-based specialty research clinic serving the North Central region of West Virginia. The acquisition expands IMA's clinical trial network and broadens access to diverse patient populations and therapeutic capabilities in underserved areas.

Baker Tilly US, LLP announced it will acquire West Virginia-based accounting and consulting firm Arnett Carbis Toothman, LLP (ACT), effective November 1, 2021. ACT’s ~275 team members will join Baker Tilly as the firm expands its Mid-Atlantic footprint; ACT CEO James Hunt will become managing partner for the Pennsylvania and West Virginia markets.

Pinnacle Dermatology, a Chicago Pacific Founders–backed dermatology platform, has acquired Dermatology Associates and Skin Surgery Center, adding eight locations across West Virginia and one in Hagerstown, Maryland. The deal expands Pinnacle’s multi-site footprint in the greater Washington, D.C. market and strengthens its population skin health management platform.

NearU Services, a founder-led home services platform based in Charlotte, acquired Grogg's Home Services, a long-standing HVAC, plumbing, electrical and window services provider with locations in Parkersburg and Clarksburg, West Virginia. The acquisition expands NearU's service footprint into West Virginia and eastern Ohio and will keep Grogg's local brand and management in place while integrating NearU's operations, finance and marketing support.

3Phase Elevator has merged with West Virginia Elevator, bringing the West Virginia market leader into 3Phase's platform as part of a national expansion strategy following an investment from Berkshire Partners. West Virginia Elevator founders Dustin Bozek and Chris Bradley will continue to lead and remain owners while the combined business expands service capabilities and geographic reach.

BayMark Health Services has acquired Hope for Tomorrow, a residential and outpatient medication-assisted treatment (OBOT) provider based in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The acquisition expands BayMark's residential treatment footprint and outpatient OBOT capacity in West Virginia, adding one residential facility and three outpatient programs to its continuum of care.

Energy Services of America Corporation’s Nitro Construction Services subsidiary completed the purchase of substantially all assets of Revolt Energy, Inc., a Nitro, West Virginia-based solar installation company. The asset purchase, completed April 30, 2021, brings residential and growing commercial/industrial solar installation capabilities into Nitro’s service offering to support diversification into renewable energy.

Camping World Holdings, Inc. has agreed to acquire the Trailer City RV dealership in Fairmont, West Virginia, marking the company's first location in the state. The acquisition is expected to close in May 2021 and expands Camping World's national RV retail footprint and service offerings.
