Veterinary Acquisitions in Washington

Tractive, the Austria‑based leader in GPS tracking and pet health insights, has acquired Whistle, the connected pet wearable brand owned by Mars Petcare. The acquisition expands Tractive’s U.S. footprint, scales its customer base, and brings Whistle’s wellness and tracking technology into Tractive’s global platform.

SAGE Veterinary Centers has partnered with Mid‑Columbia Pet Emergency Service to add the Pasco, Washington emergency hospital to SAGE's community of hospitals. The deal expands SAGE's presence in central Washington and aims to enhance regional emergency and intensive care for companion animals through collaboration with local referring veterinarians.

Zoetis has completed the acquisition of Phoenix Central Laboratory for Veterinarians, Inc. (Phoenix Lab), a Mukilteo, Washington-based veterinary reference laboratory. The purchase expands Zoetis's diagnostics capabilities by adding reference laboratory services to its existing point-of-care diagnostic portfolio; financial terms were not disclosed.
