IT Services Acquisitions in 2015

Cansel Survey Equipment Inc. has acquired Dowco Group of Companies' software reseller business, Dowco Technology Services (DTS), in a divestiture advised by Madison Street Capital. The sale allows Dowco to focus on its core steel detailing and BIM services business while Cansel expands its software and service offerings for construction, surveying and AEC customers in Canada.

Data Strategy has acquired boice.net and finalized a merger to create one of the Midwest's largest datacenter consulting organizations. The combined company will operate from six offices across four states (headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan), expand managed services (including a 24x7x365 NOC), and broaden capabilities across cloud, security, storage and infrastructure with roughly 200 employees and sharpened vertical focus across government, education, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and retail.

Emtec, Inc. has acquired Summit Technology, Inc., a healthcare-focused consulting and managed services firm based in Athens, Alabama that specializes in Oracle HCM, ERP and Cloud applications. Summit's management and team will join Emtec's Global Services group to expand Emtec's Oracle application capabilities and deepen its presence in the healthcare market.

Riveria Investment Group and Gibson Investment Group have acquired IQ Logic, a managed content and document services provider headquartered in Irvine, California. The investment partners said they will support IQ Logic's growth plans and expand the company's footprint and service offerings in the managed content and document services market.

West Monroe Partners has acquired Etherios, a Platinum Salesforce Consulting Partner, with 7 Mile Advisors acting as exclusive sell-side advisor. Etherios' teams in Chicago, San Francisco and Dallas joined West Monroe's CRM practice effective October 26, 2015—creating a CRM team of more than 125 professionals—and the deal was reported to have been completed with Etherios coming from Digi International for approximately $9 million.

IBM announced plans to acquire Meteorix LLC, a premier Workday implementation and services partner, to expand its Workday consulting, implementation and analytics capabilities. The acquisition is intended to deepen IBM's ability to help clients deploy Workday for finance and HR and accelerate IBM's cloud-delivered workforce transformation services.

TKO Electronics has acquired Market Point, combining their inventories and vendor relationships to provide a broader selection of IT and printer-related products through a unified web portal. The deal expands TKO's capabilities and adds a new West Coast facility to better serve Market Point’s customers.

LiquidHub, a digital integrator headquartered outside Philadelphia, has acquired Harvest Solutions, a Salesforce Silver Consulting Partner headquartered in Boston with an office in San Francisco. The acquisition strengthens LiquidHub's Salesforce and CRM implementation capabilities and expands its U.S. footprint; 7 Mile Advisors served as exclusive buy-side advisor.

LiquidHub, a digital integrator headquartered outside Philadelphia, has acquired Redkite, a New York–based Salesforce Gold Partner, expanding LiquidHub's Salesforce capabilities and domestic delivery footprint. The acquisition adds approximately 50 professionals — including Redkite co-founders Brennan Burkhart and Kenny McColl — to LiquidHub's team and strengthens its customer engagement and CRM service offerings across financial services, travel/hospitality and legal markets.

Smart Employee Benefits Inc. (TSXV:SEB) acquired Paradigm Consulting Group Inc. via a subsidiary, for up to C$15.79 million (C$13.43M firm plus up to C$2.37M contingent). The deal expands SEB's technology and delivery capabilities in healthcare IT and deepens its presence in Western Canada (notably Saskatchewan and Manitoba).

Evolve IP, a unified cloud services provider, has acquired Webcore Technologies, a managed services provider headquartered in Austin, Texas. The acquisition expands Evolve IP's national footprint and adds on-site and remote IT management, consulting, and complementary cloud capabilities such as virtual data centers, disaster recovery, and security to Evolve IP's OneCloud platform.
