Consumer Products Acquisitions in 2015

Chesterfield, Missouri-based Manna Pro Products LLC has acquired Nutri-Vet LLC of Boise, Idaho, along with the Petnology Essentials product line from 21st Century HealthCare Inc. The deals expand Manna Pro's portfolio into the cat and dog supplement market, with the acquired brands operating together as Nutri-Vet Wellness LLC; terms were not disclosed.

Front Nine Capital, LLC acquired Mainly Monograms, Inc., a West Nyack, New York-based distributor and custom embroiderer/screen-printer of athletic apparel and promotional products. The transaction closed on October 1, 2015; Front Nine Capital targets middle-market investments with a focus on the custom apparel industry.

Ohio-based Coastal Pet Products, Inc. has acquired Bergan, a Monkey Island, Oklahoma–based maker of pet toys, carriers, harnesses and feeding solutions, including the Turbo Scratcher cat toy. Terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands Coastal's product portfolio and strengthens its position in the pet accessories and toy categories.

Garmin Ltd. acquired the assets of iKubu (Pty) Ltd., a Stellenbosch-based developer of the Backtracker low-energy bike radar and related computer-vision/radar technology. Most former iKubu employees will join Garmin's South Africa subsidiary to continue R&D in Stellenbosch; financial terms were not disclosed.
