UL Environment, a business unit of Underwriters Laboratories, acquired GoodGuide, a San Francisco–based provider of environmental, health, and social impact product data and mobile/web transparency tools. The acquisition brings GoodGuide's database and consumer-facing software (covering ~175,000 products and 5,000 companies) into UL Environment's sustainability, certification, and consulting services to expand digital capabilities for product transparency.
