Dental Acquisitions in Maryland

Straine Dental Management (SDM), a Sacramento-based dental services organization, has acquired Clarksburg Dental Center in Germantown, Maryland, marking SDM's entry into its 16th U.S. state. The practice, led by Dr. Edmund Liu and Dr. Chung Lin, will join SDM's network to benefit from the firm's proprietary practice optimization and management services.

Young Innovations, a portfolio company of Linden Capital Partners, has acquired The Orthodontic Store, Inc., a Gaithersburg, Maryland-based provider of orthodontic appliances, supplies and instruments. The Ortho Store CEO Steve Sanders will remain on a consulting basis; the deal expands Young Innovations' specialty distribution platform in the orthodontics segment.
